Because it's crap. I had v2 or 3 and made additions to it as and when I needed. Having fallen behind with the latest commands I decided to update without making a backup, so it may be a couple of words short, big deal... big mistake.

No longer can I pick out whether my code is valid or not, because anything between two ~'s is now in red, for no particularly good reason... except this doesn't always work. Some valid code is still in black.

Please put a warning next to this new highlighter. The word crap should do it, but at least note that it is nothing like v3.

I made additions to make up v4, but I don't know who wrote v5.

My v4 version has most of the commands except for the ones added after v65 or so (IIRC).

I can email it to you if you want.
Check out BG1Tutu.

If it uses the old highlighting scheme, then yes please.

I forget who sent me v5, but v4 (like all old weimer files) is available in the "old" subdirectory (you can get to it from the main page). No need for secret clandestine IRC meetings, it's all still there.

If you're sure that it doesn't work, I'll put v4 back as v6.
