Hello,

Trying out Viconia and the Priest of Shar kit - Just a few clarifying questions:

1. I'm using CDTweaks' "Consistent Stats: Viconia -> Use BG Values", which gives her a 15 Wisdom. With the Priest of Shar kit, it drop to 14. Was that the intention - or did the Kit assume she started at 18?

2. Her Shadow Shield spell sets AC to 4, but with Scales of Balance's "Yet Another Revised Armor System", she receives an AC modifier of -6 with her 19 Dex, thus giving her -2 AC. Was the spell intended to factor in Dex AC modifier - or strictly set AC to 4?

Thanks!

Spells that give armor class bonuses either set the armor class to a number, like "AC to 4", or they give bonuses which actually reduce the armor class. Now the normal armor class is 10 for all humanoids, the Dex AC modifier, and the armors armor class, and other bonuses, like from a shield or rings/amulets/cloaks of protection or others.

But the spells that say they set the armor class, won't normally stack with literal armors, like plate mails bonuses, so only the lower value is used as the starting value, as lower is better. And no, you don't get -6 modifier from a Dex of 19... it's normally only -4. You can get the additional from say shield and enhanted shields and shield proficiencies.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
