Can I take your BG1 Viconia for the next version of the portrait pack as well? :-)

Well I'd be glad to.
Lava already asked me to put it in a Polish mod for BG1 they're planning (Mysteries of the Sword Coast), but I don't see any "conflict" so you can have it too :)
Feel free to "fix" it if you see something that bothers you, like Lava did for her hair

* also I disagree. I love love luuuuuv BG1 artwork. That's why I'm so disappointed with BG2 artwork. ;-)

No I know, what I meant is that I couldn't really know what to change, without falling into portraits à la BG2, and then missing the point of BG1 portraits
I mean, beside Viconia, the other ones are fine... Anyway, I'll look into it, maybe I'll have an idea or something...

And I worked on Adam Scott again, don't know, I think it's better this time
I tried something with his eyes on the second one but I'm not sure...
Any tips ?

Wow, these portraits are awesome. I have always admired people that can do this kind of stuff. Makes me wish I had an inkling of artistic talent. Keep up the good work.

Thank you !
Still, that "Adam Scott" isn't quite right, too blurry or something, I don't know...

But thanx !

Wow, didn't see this for a while, eh? Hilite his hair. I'd say use orange and draw some individual strands on his head and a tiny bit on his eyebrows where you think the light should fall. :-)

There are some tutorials that have been made if you're interested in exploring the 'baldurizing' world. ^_^

Thanks a lot MiLeah :new_thumbs: , i was searching for one !!! I've got good methods about changing photos to drawings but Badurizing photo portraits seems to be harder... with kind of digital paintings methods or something like that. I'm more into Gimp but my power is going forward in Photoshop. I added Enkida on deviant art and wacthed about Amaurea 's and Plasmocat's portraits ! I hope i can make something as good soon ! I just read you're tutorial and i think its exactly what i needed i just have to read it ten times more to undertand well cause english is not my native language, let's do that step by step...

The color of his hair makes my screen look broken.

That mean i did an old school portrait not working on 21st century screens, my screen is 14 years old ... i was playing on Fallout 2 on it in 1998... I have to admit i finished that in a hurry... and i merged the three layers i got like a Noober... :ermm: On my screen it looks ok but its true on new screens image can look really different.

I gonna try it on Adam Scott again with your tutorial MiLeah to compare and then i'll Balduryze my own face !!!

First, you're very much welcome. And second, I tried to make my tutorial basic only because I used Gimp, Paintshop and Photoshop and tried to make it so that it can be used for all three.
And if you use the tutorial step by step, then that's great because I do that all the time when using tutorials. It helps me to remember what I'm learning (and then my brain will poop it all out... <_< ).

Hey, fantastic! Sounds like a plan! When you're done, I think it would be cool if you started your own topic to show off all your work as you create it! I look forward to see it! :D

I'll give that a try later, thanks for the advice !

Hey Rigel !
Comment ça va ? :D

I don't mind you doing anything with any portraits from here, be welcome !
But I don't really get what you did here, except making it really blurry...
I feel like I'm drunk and I see two Adams almost at the same place :/

The sky background looks better though !

MiLeah is a really talented artist, I'll let her answer, but you could check this thread and see for yourself !

Salut ^^ je sais pas ce que j'ai en ce moment je baldurise à mort !!! sympa tes retouches que j'ai vu sur la CdC :new_thumbs:

Yes the background is my major contribution  , that's true mine doesn't look really baldur's gate but more like a traditionnal drawing; and it probably look blurry cause i badly merged layers (at end of night...) especially in the neck area.
Yours Sanctifer is great but maybe a little bit too colourless, but maybe you want it like that.

I tried MiLeah's tutorial this afternoon and i undertsand the method but it needs much practice and i'm quite a noob in digital painting, it was not too bad for a start but i really need to improve ! I'm really interested to master this and not only playing with filters like i usually do !

In fact i had already saw the MiLeah's little gallery yesterday but i didn't mind it was her answering me ^^ The second Yoshimo is AWESOME. And trying her tut i can tell you that yes what she did need much talent !

And you Sanctifer have you a gallery somewhere ?

EDIT : MY PORTRAIT was not looking the same in my old 17' screen, now i see it in my new LCD screen isee it blurry too !!!
