Hi Guys!

This is my first post and I have a little problem right now. I've recently started modifying BG2 CRE files. The thing is that every change I made will be lost if the BG2 is uninstalled, right? So, is there a way to compile them into one simple program? Or, if they are extracted how can I have them included into a new BG2 installation. I use Shadow Keeper to change the files, is there a better one.

Thanks Guys ;]

Well, the .cre files are easy to set so that they are included in the new install, you just copy the file from the override folder(the editors should all paste the files there) to where ever you keep your files, and then do the reverse when you have installed the game a new... actually after you uninstall the game, you need to remove all the game files if you wish to have a clean reinstall to the same game folder.

Now, if you wish to do something special, like give them unique names or the like, you should make the modification with the WeiDU tool... there's way too much info there, ask and I'll help you, so you can get started.

Thanks fot the reply. I'm just imroving monsters to increase the difficulty of the game. Nothing special but changing health points, saving throws etc. I'll check override now and I'll test it, i'll check the weidu too i think. Thanks again :)
