Hi, this is my first time on these forums and was hoping people could help. I have been playing baldur's gate trilogy for a while now and have just finished the BG1 portion, I went back to the guy in the palace (forget his name) and had him teleport me to Amn, item dropped/removed from inventory messages appear then i go to a loading screen and it successfully loads the next area. I then see my party interface for a second and then the screen goes black and nothing happens. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to fix this?

Also I tried starting a BG2 game with a new char and it worked fine

The teleporters name is Belt...
There has been this problems with other people too, what version do you have ?
I would suggest that you first go to the game directory's "override" -folder and copy the "ar0602.bcs" file from there to somewhere you'll find in the future(if it is not there, don't worry), and then download the file from here, remove the extension form it and place it in the "override" -folder... and try the save that's before you talked to the Belt ... and if it works, go back to the file you had in the "override" folder. Now if you didn't have that exact in there, you only have to remove the file you copied, as the game stores the file in a .bif file, which is much like a .rar file, but the game can use them.

That's to be expected, as the file you are using has someone else's dialog.tlk references and so forth...
