I'm having problem with Contingency spell in BG2. According to the spells description I should get one slot to use for every 3 levels, up to 6 at level 18. For some reason this doesn't happen - I have one slot only, and as far as I remember this happened to me when I played BG2 in past also. Perhaps anyone had the same problem and knows what's causing it/how to fix it?

"Upon casting this spell the wizard is allowed to choose a spell out of his repertoire of known spells. One spell level for every three levels of the caster is allowed up to 18th level or 6th level spells. Once the spell is chosen the caster is allowed to choose a condition of some kind from the list provided. The starting condition can be anything from reaching 10% of his/her hit points to an enemy being sighted. Once this starting condition is satisfied the spell that was chosen will be cast automatically."

You get one spell, the level of which can not be greater than [caster level]/3 or six, whichever is lower. The spell is functioning as intended.

Chain Contingency (wiz9) offers more options.

You only ever gain 1 slot. You can use spells of higher levels as you level up, for a maximum of 6th level spells at level 18.

:whistling:
And since the spell can only be gained at level 12, the spells level is actually only restricted from 4th on levels 1 to 14, to 5th level on levels 15 to 17 and to 6th on levels after...

Thanks vilkacis, that explains much. Apparently polish translation of the spells description is messed up. Somehow in hindsight this doesn't surprosie me *sigh*

So you're telling me the Polish translation... lacks polish?
