Where Are My Saved Games?

I started a game in EasyTutu with Secret of Bonehill and got to Restenford before I remembered I hadn't installed Worldmap. So I installed Worldmap, including the save game converter. However, when I bring up a saved game, I get the same old BG1 map. When I start a new game, I get the Worldmap. I checked the Weidu log, and there's no record of the save game converter being installed, even though Weidu said it was successfully installed when I ran the setup. Not only that, but my save game folder is empty, another folder called mpsave is empty, and another folder called tempsave is empty. I'm thinking the save game converter didn't install because it couldn't find any saved games to convert, yet I can bring up any saved game just fine.

So where exactly are my saved games hiding? Anyone have any insight?

The saved-game converter doesn't show up in the log file.
You have probably installed the game to c:\program files on Vista or WIn7 and your saved games are therefore stored at another location (among the "compatibility files"), which is why you can't find them and likely why the saved-game converter did not convert them.

I am indeed using Windows 7.

Compatibility files? Where do I look for them?


Nevermind: I did a search for one of the saved games names and found them stored elsewhere, as you said. I copied the saved games, pasted them into the "real" Tutu save game folder, ran the saved game converter again, then copied the quicksave file and pasted it into the save game folder where Windows 7 had stored them. Started the game again using quicksave, and voila: Worldmap. (I'm explaining all this in case someone else runs into the same situation and is looking for a fix).
