Planescape Torment - widescreen & full install issues

I'm tryin to install widescreen mod for PsT and I have this:

ERROR: BIFF [./AR0101.BIF] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "./AR01
01.BIF")

ERROR locating resource for 'COPY'
Resource [AR0101.WED] not found in KEY file:
        [./chitin.key]
Stopping installation because of error.
Stopping installation because of error.
Stopping installation because of error.
Stopping installation because of error.



You need to perform a full install of your game and make sure that the .ini poin
ts to the correct paths.

I have a 2CDs polish version. I can't perform a full install becoz on the CD2 in 'cd2' folder there are only 3 files: GenmovA.bif, GenmovB.bif and Movies2.bif and everyone has only 3 bytes. On disc not in any folder there's a file (or rather an archive but I can't unrar it) called data3.cab. I guess while the game is installin all the .bif files are being extracted from that archive to the 'Cd2' folder (there's AR0101.bif file in it) in game directory so i think it's a full install already.

I will glad if anyone can help me. thanks from above.

Try installing the game and then copy paste the files in the CD's to a folder inside the game folder and then put the [Alias] folder headers in the Torment.ini file to where you copied the files to... as in make a Custom Full install, FAQ.

that is my .ini contents good sire,
and I've been through the guide in
thunderpeel2001.And this is the actual error of my
widescreen mod installation.

and when I install again it goes:

I got the 2c version and running on
windows 7 in my netbook,,
sigh...got no problem installing this
mod on Baldur's Gate 2 though...

can anybody help me? gibberling site
is down at the moment...i really
deserve this game...

Are YOU SURE THE CD1's content is in the F drive while all the rest is in the E drive... and by the way, that's some $h1&%/#"# installation you have done there in.

Erghm, you should decide where and what typo it truly is cause you cannot have this:

Well, unless you have something totally off...

Here's my original Chitin.key file from the 2 CD version of the game... backup the original or reinstall from a clean slate:

There is/was a small problem with one of the v22800 - v23000 WeiDU.exe's ... try the newest archived model from here(Windows Binary) ... and make sure the "cache" folder is empty before you install any mods.

I'll also try to attach the AR2000.cbf & AR3013.cbf files that were inside my original "CD2" folder in this:

with your patience and guidance and
I'm really grateful... :Bow:

My opinion was right, there was error
in the original cd2 regarding the
AR2000.cbf & AR3013.cbf...and when
I tried to install with your files..
[WITH FULL CORRECTION OF TORMENT.INI]
it was smooth and success to get through
the both of them, and then
comes the other problem: AR3017.cbf
with the same error command

And about the typo thing, yes, Im such
an idiot..but i was sure i was through
many correct installation and correct
.ini edit [thunderpeel2001] before i send
you those latest torment.ini

I'm totally understand you are a busy
person,,,but would you please be so kind
for the second time to upload AR3013.cbf?
or AR3013.bif?

I swear this is the last time
I ask shamelessly and please
dont get insulted, i just want
to play this game :crying:

you can see that the AR2000.bif & AR3013.bif
are already extracted without error from the .CBF files
and generated in CACHE folder..but the last AR3017.cbf not..

That's a new version of the game, even though the version flag probably says that it's the old... when you extract the archive (.zip)files, what is in them ?
I bet the disks are DVD's, not like the aeon's ago made game discs that were CD's that the game refers as discs...

they are dvd-rom. I'm not sure what file type it just says file. the file names are numbers and letters like ID_00a02039_da2b_4fb9_832f_64a4d28a502d.

found out I can play the games without the disk. not sure if I even need the widescreen mod. just on a side note I did try it with the official patch but it wouldn't run so I reinstalled. o_~

I got Unix.unix error<3. I got the game from gog.com and have installed no previous mods. The directory is C:\GOG Games\Planescape Torment
