Crash on entering High Hedge building after installing Aurora's Sh

I just installed this mod, but an unfortunate side effect has been a freeze/CTD whenever I enter the High Hedge building. I do not get an error code in my "baldur.err" folder. Oddly enough, I can spawn Thalantyr just fine outside the building, as well as all the different flesh golem creatures I could find in Near Infinity. It's not a huge issue (since I can just spawn Thalantyr elsewhere), but I am concerned that a bug here could mean there are bugs elsewhere.

I am playing EasyTutu and using version 5 (with patch 5a) of Aurora's Shoes. I was really looking forward to trying this mod, so I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Odd. We don't do anything to that area, we just add a few items to Thalanty'r store. So if the store works if you spawn _thalan outside, it should work inside too.

So there are no issues inside the building if you uninstall the mod? Do you have an entry for Logging On=1 under Program Options in your baldur.ini file? You won't get a baldur.err file otherwise. If not then add that and reproduce the crash, then view baldur.err with a text editor and post the contents.

If none of that works, launch Near Infinity from your Tutu folder and extract the following files (or just get them from your override folder, since Tutu does not biff its resources):

Edit: if an _ar3202.bcs file exists (it doesn't in vanilla Tutu) attach that as well.

Uninstalled Aurora's Shoes and was able to enter High Hedge without a crash. Melicamp was in there as well (forgot about him), but was still able to spawn him when I reinstaalled Aurora's Shoes. However, still crashed on entering the building with it installed. I do have the "Logging On=1" entry, but crashing did not produce an entry in the baldur.err file.

I have attached the requested files (except _ar3202.bcs - could not find it in override or Near Infinity).

There is nothing wrong with any of those files. But they also appear to be files without Aurora installed (the store does not have our items). Can you reinstall the mod and extract and attach those files again. You may as well include _melica.cre, _fgolem.cre, fw3202.wed and _halantr.bcs. I can't think of any other files that could cause this.

Did you by chance install Aurora during a game in progress, or did you start a new game after installing it? Was Melicamp already back in human form? If so, I think that explains it, because we do this in the code:

I did in fact install Aurora during a game in progress. And yes, Melicamp was turned into his human form so I think you have found the problem!

Oddly enough, some of the stores have been updated with Aurora's items (such as the Temple of Lathander outside Beregost), but not Thalantyr. Also, I had to manually spawn Karaea, I was unable to enter her "lair" (no "open door" marker at the coordinates), and was likewise unable to enter the cave north of Nashkel (again no "open door" marker). I will try to start a new game and see if these locations become accessible and if Thalantyr gets some new items. Will upload those files if starting a new game does not fix things.

Yup, not starting a new game after installing the mod will cause all those things (and hence, starting a new game will solve all those issues). I'm actually surprised you didn't get any crashes sooner than this. Stores and areas are stored in saved games, so if you've already visited them, you won't get the versions modded by the, uh, mod.

Restarting solved most of the issues (able to enter new areas, Karaea spawned by herself etc.), but Thalantyr still did not have any new items. Will he always have new items with the mod, or is it random?

It is random, as is a lot of stuff in the mod. If the items aren't in Thalantyr's shop, they'll be somewhere else.
