Hello, everyone!

BGT works just fine for me, never had any problems with it except one little yet annoying thing. There are certain spells in the game that just refuse to work when i cast them. The spells in question are Cloudkill and Sunfire (maybe there are more, but i haven't discovered them yet). So, when i order my mage to cast them, the animation of casting appears, everything seems to go smooth, but nothing happens after the animation ends. At the same time, whenever i use a cloudkill wand, it works fine. Any suggestions on how to fix that? I experienced no problems during the installationg of BGT, no errors during the gameplay appeared, so, i am completely clueless about what might've caused such a behaviour. Please, help me solve that if you can.

WeiDu.log's content would be nice...
Also the exact things you do, castes class, level, memorized spell or is it cast from a scroll... details.

Thank you for the quick reply. Here're the details:

My caster (who is at the same time the main character) is a Mage, he's got both Cloudkill and Sunfire memorized, and in case of Cloudkill - i used the spell first during the original BG campaign, somewhere in the Dragon's Run, while doing a quest from Dark Side of the Sword Coast story. The Mage was 9-th level at that time, the animation started as usual, but to no avail: nothing happened. I tried re-using the spell in several other locations, then finished the original story and went on to the Shadows of Amn, tried using it there after getting the 11-th level, too - sadly, without any success. The first Cloudkill wand i got was the one from Irenicus' laboratory, and when i checked if it works, the cloud actually appeared and did its thing.

The Sunfire does exactly the same. Had a chance to try it when my Mage got the 11-th level. I memorized it, approached the enemies, started casting, and the animation is all i saw. I remember playing BGII without add-ons and mods earlier, and most certainly, i never encountered such a problem. Well, wouldn't bother me too much, because BGT is still awesome, but those two spells are in the list of my favourites, so i desperately need your help.

Attached Weidu.log to the post. Though if you need me to do something particular in the game and then re-attach a new log, please, tell so. Probably it would be better if i launched the game, tried both spells, then closed it and gave you a new log?

Thank you for attention and help.

P.S. Played some more and found out that Burning Hands don't work, too.

I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but BGT itself doesn't touch spells at all. Is it just those two spells? Can you continue playing without them, heartbreaking as it is?
It would be even more heartbreaking to ask you to do a re-install, because I think it would take longer to work out what is wrong here.

That's sad, but i guess it can't be helped, then. I was just afraid that there are more non-working spells in the game than i've discovered so far, and some of them might be essential for being able to beat the game, but i'll simply look at it as an additional handicap.

Thank you anyway, your mod gives BG a new life, and minor bugs don't make the whole compilation look worse.
