Do the paths given in the baldur.ini fit together with realtity? Have a close look. Maybe the necessary files are in CD3 and the stuff that should be in CD 5 is in CD 6 or whatever... Or they are all in CD 1 (or 2), or whatever. No idea, never used the GOG-version...

That's what I have in CD 2:
Data (29 files)/ Movies (1file)

CD 3:
Data (35 files) / Movies (1 file)

CD 4:
Data (24 files) / Movies (0 files)

CD 5:
Data (30 files) / Movies (1 file)

German version / no CD 1...

I have no CD folders besides CD 5 folder which holds the movies subfolder containing the 25movies.bif to allow the BiG install the modifications.

So where are the .bif files ? The mostlikely variation is that you need to change the [Alias]'es to be:
HD0:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD1:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CD1\

CD2:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD3:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD4:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD5:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD6:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\;D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CD5\
Or:
HD0:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\

CD1:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CD1\

CD2:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CDALL\

CD3:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CDALL\

CD4:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CDALL\

CD5:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CDALL\

CD6:=D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CDALL\;D:\Games\BGII - SoA\CD5\

Thread's pretty stale date wise but I'm still getting this too, and the game doesn't resolve even after 2 or 3 hours for the transfer from Belt into BG2.  And I have the following in my baldurr.err log:

Well, with only the above knowledge, I can only give you nada... especially as this thread concentrates on the fact that people's get the Play CD notice. Not the crash problem you are referring to.

If you actually wish to resolve your problem, you are better off making your own thread, putting your weidu.log info on to the thread and ask for help debugging it. A thread from 2011 is not going to help you with it... unless you can actualize and learn from it(as in manually fix the problem yourself).

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
