Hey there,

I made a spell in Baldur's Gate 2 for level 9 wizards which should allow the wizards to cast a certain amount of lightning bolts at their targets. The spell targets 6 targets (but I have intended it to target additional 1 char/4 levels) just like Wand of Lightning, and is meant to hurl forward a devastating chain lighting. Later, I also made a special bracer which grants any wielder this power for twice a day. However, I keep getting one annoying problem: when I cast the spell through my bracers, I can't get the multitarget function to work! It only targets one creature! I wonder does anyone know if I can make it so that the spell works properly? To target 6 characters and then +1 every 4th level through my bracers? Here's the bracer and the spell file, though the bracers do not have any BAM file as of yet. Thank you in advance! Cheers!

From the post content, it seems you wish to make multi-targeting Lightning, rather than multi-targeting Chain Lightning as per your topic. Anyway, here's my implementation of multi-target Chain Lightning.

I can't help with the "Number of Targets" limit, but I simply used an AoE Chain Lightning (in other words, everyone in a 30' radius is hit by a separate Chain Lightning).

You can download it under the Conductor's HLA, you can get Lightning Tempest. I recommend testing in the Oasis.

There is also a Lightning Blast spell (not HLA) that casts Lightning on everyone in a radius. Basically an electrical Fireball / Sunfire that cannot be aimed, ie centred on the Conductor.

You can also try the HLA upgrade of Lightning Blast, which is Lightning Wrath.

Allright, so I solved the multitargeting issue. I did this by creating another spell and a .2DA file. A spell like SPWI510 (protection from school type I think), which allows the user to "charge" himself with electricity (i.e select a spell - which is only one actually - and that's the attacking spell). When done, he is then able to cast the attacking spell which really DOES target multiple targets, just like I want it to. The only problem is - that the spell will only be cast on the latest target. So even when you select the other targets, which works perfectly, only the latest will be cast upon. And I can't get this to work properly.

And as for your spell - I'll be sure to check it out. Thank you! :D
