That small inventory (and spellbook, journal, etc) looks damn ugly on the higher res. I suppose only upscaling those images would work.
Games should quit fooling around and go vectorial artwork already.

Nope, can't be done. What you see is the the inventory in its original size, but it's smaller on screen due to the higher resolution. Upscaling wouldn't work.
