I've recently installed BG2 to my relatively new computer (yes, I was working on Darian's ToB without having BG2 actually installed for a while, shut up), but I've been unable to get the developer console working. I can start a new game and whatnot just fine, but ctrl-space does not open the developer console.

I uninstalled BG2, then reinstalled it, Throne of Bhaal, then the official patch. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit.

My baldur.ini looks like this:

[Program Options]

Any ideas on how to get the developer console working?

I've recently installed BG2 to my relatively new computer
HD0:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\

And this computer has either a Vista or Win 7 OS... you need to install the game to anywhere else than the Program Files sub-folder you just installed it to...
That's like so five years ago thing. :lol:
And by the way, this is true to all the old games, not just Baldur's Gates & IE games, but Fallout (1&2&Tactics), Dooms 1&2, Diablo 1&2... unless they are Certified to Windows Vista, which was not possible to be until 5 years ago.

Gah. Thanks. BG2 is about the oldest game I'm of a mind to install that I don't use Dosbox to run. :P
