I uninstalled BG2, then reinstalled it, Throne of Bhaal, then the official patch. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit.
My baldur.ini looks like this:

Any ideas on how to get the developer console working?

And this computer has either a Vista or Win 7 OS... you need to install the game to anywhere else than the Program Files sub-folder you just installed it to...I've recently installed BG2 to my relatively new computer
HD0:=C:\Program Files (x86)\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\
That's like so five years ago thing.

And by the way, this is true to all the old games, not just Baldur's Gates & IE games, but Fallout (1&2&Tactics), Dooms 1&2, Diablo 1&2... unless they are Certified to Windows Vista, which was not possible to be until 5 years ago.
