I successfully made a personal BWP installation (using roughly the Recommended settings plus a few post installation tweaks). However, I wanted to make a multiplayer installation for my friend and I to play with, so I've been going off of the Minimum and adding onto it from there.
Here is what is in the debug log when the installation process during the BGT component locks up (I left it to go overnight as well).

I have installed the programs NOT to the default directory, and below is my BWS.ini for what components I installed via BWP.
Is this the right forum for this question?
What other information could I provide?
Why is this installation with LESS selected hanging while the previous ones were flawless?
I redownloaded BGT as well - however over multiple installations I've never run a registry clean - could it be leftover registry entries?

It would be nice if someone adjusted this line from the tp2-file:

REPLACE_TEXTUALLY ~[*?"<>|:]~ ~~
Since it rips the : from the path, the check fails and the install stalls.
I don't know why the message is not displayed, BWS reads for STDOUT of the CMD that spawns the Setup.
Maybe using AT_NOW to spawn another CMD prevents that or it uses STDERR.
(Yeah I know, would be nice if it was displayed, so guys would see the message and it's kind of lame to ask for since I don't update it anymore, but the error still is there.)

Edit the Setup-BGT.tp2 in the BG2 directory, goto line 135 or look for the text shown above.
Save, kill Setup-BGT.exe and BWS and run the BWS again. Or just install BGT manually and start the BWS again. The BWS looks into the WeiDU.log and should not try to install BGT if it is already installed.

I feel like a dullard. I'm totally confident that I can follow those directions if I just know exactly how you want me to edit that line. Do you want me to comment it out? Remove the colon from the line?
