Hi all,

I'm not quite sure what are the requirements are to be considered a Mega-Mod. For SHS mods, it's easy since there is a Mega-Mod section. However, it is not quite as clear for PPG, G3, and BWL mods.

I am very interested in playing FFT, but I'd still like to install other mods such as NEJ or Unfinished Business as well.

Playing FFT is my main priority though, and any known incompatible mods will not be considered.

Hi all, I'm not quite sure what are the requirements are to be considered a Mega-Mod.

Well, try to read the pinned topics at the Megamod Help forum... :P and you'll find:

It had been forever since anyone had put this kind of topic in these forums... I took up the charge.
So what is Megamoding? It's generally accepted idea that Megamoding is taking about combining two or more of big or small game modifications in one install. The original term only included large mods, but nowadays what's large and what's not is not a size question, but of content.
And this evolved a lot, and now we are able to install more than 300 mods into one game, if one want to... but none of those are required to be counted as Megamoding, just a general wish to push the envelope to or more than 10 mods, or two of the big mods.
But as this guide is not strictly aimed to Megamoding, I have also included a lot of other useful stuff, that helps with other Infinity Engine games. This is because the ultimate aim of the true Megamoding is to make a single engine able to run every modification of the Infinity Engine has to offer.

Now, if you read this topic on the FFT forum... the topic is somewhat old already, and the compatibility is tried to be archived.

Now if you know anything about the NEJ, you know how horrible it's compatibility actually is on the megamoding scale(it's in the eXpert compilation in the BWS), so I would suggest not to use that, but try the Tactical version of the BWS with reduced amount of mods.
Or you could try the FFT by itself, with the G3 Fixpack and Unfinished Business and the Widescreen mod. ...

You know, I didn't even think to look there. I feel pretty stupid. :P

Thanks for the response though. Even though I've been a long time fan of BG modding (been around since the pre-Weidu days!), I really don't know much beyond "Download and install the mod, then go to the forum for questions and bugs".

I will skip NEJ (which is sad because I like IWD). Plus, I think the forum is a pay-site now? I have been gone awhile. :(

I will follow your install of FFT, G3 fixpack, and UB. What is Tactical BWS? My acronym skills make me cry.

Thanks for your help.

Hopefully with install order that's:
BGIIFixpack
UB
FFT
Widescreen mod.

What is Tactical BWS?

Well, it's the Tactical compilation made by the BiG World Setup...

Plus, I think the forum is a pay-site now?

Yep.
