Howdy folks. I signed up for this awesome site after I dug my copies of the Baldur's Gate games out to play again. Mainly because most games out today are utter dreck. So I've installed some mods and tweaks and fixes and generally been having a fun time, until......
For whatever reason I didn't talk to Xzar in the Docks area in BG2 before I went to Spellhold to find Imoen. Now that I'm back from the Underdark I can't find him, and I'm pretty sure I need him to start the Harper's quests, correct? Guess I hurt his feelings? Who knew psychotic wizards could be so sensitive? At any rate suggestions on how to resolve this would be most welcome.

If you could post your weidu.log I'm sure that would be helpful :)

First, thanks for the response. Second, um.. what's a weidu.log?

If you explain what it is and how to get it, I'll post it. Meanwhile, if this helps, I have the following mods installed: Shadows over Soubar, Darkest Day, the Imoen Romance mod, and the tweak-pack amd fix-pack from Gibberlings 3. I do have Shadow Keeper installed, but have only used it to change some minor stuff like weapon proficiencies and adjusting HP. In those cases because I wanted to cheat a few HP rolls early on to make surviving easier and because I thought it was kinda dumb for Minsc to have his starting proficiencies in 2 H sword and 2 weapon style. Thanks.

Have to ask, have you been able to do any of the TDD quests ?
Cause you probably should have the Worldmap installed.

Xzar can be made to show up on any location with using the Console and inserting this to it:
CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("xzar")

Thank you Jarno! I've got Xzar now. The CLUA Console certainly seems useful.

As to your other question, no I haven't tried any TDD quests yet but I've installed the Worldmap. It's working, tho I do have to say that even with the smaller of the 2 map options installed, outside town you have to kinda fish around to find anything. It's not a huge issue but is there a way to shrink the map resolution so it shows a larger % of the map area? I tried changing the game resolution to some of the higher "unsupported" modes. The game worked, but the map seemed to scale up so the same small portion was showing. Thanks again.

Unfortunately the worldmap GUI has not been hacked by any mod as far as I know... by the way, the higher resolutions will definitely crash if you put a two handed sword on to a character and open the inventory, in the default unsupported resolutions that are bigger than the first(1024x768).
If you want to use bigger resolutions and still have fully working game etc. you need to use the Widescreen mod.

As I said it's not a big deal. But again, thank you very much for the assistance.
