GoG install, Issues installing re: cannot find certain files

I am trying to install the GoG version of BG 2 Complete, along with this mod. Unfortunately, I can't get it going. I changed the directory of the install to "C:/games/BGII - SoA" then I downloaded both the mod and the fixpack and put them both in the folder. Finally, I created CD5\movies\ and copied 25Movies.bif here, then created BG2-ToBPatchReadMe.txt in the core directory. I then tried to run the install.
At first, it hung on the ToB patch, saying it wasn't installed. Since I was confident it WAS installed, I edited the batch file to stop looping here. Next it said the Fixpack was not present. It's here that I'm stuck. I don't want to go on and keep hitting hurdles, with the install unable to find anything. It really seems like there is some silly mistake I'm making that should be easy to correct.
Thanks for taking a look.

That would be BiG World Install.batSorry, but there is no such thing ... if you read the FAQ you know why."this mod" being Big World project.
Now, which is it, the "BiG World Setup.vbs", or the "BiG World Install.bat" ?

I copied the Big World Fixpack and unpacked it into the proper directory, then ran the Fixpack batch file first, but it's still giving me this error.

The BiG World Install.bat itself will run the BiG World Fixpack... but you were talking about was BG2 Fixpack is this, not the BWFixpack.I copied the Big World Fixpack and unpacked it into the proper directory, then ran the Fixpack batch file first, but it's still giving me this error.

Run into the same problem, using BG1 and BG2 + ToB, Both from gog.com. Using the .vb installer, says its missing a file, including CD5/movies/movies25.bif. I made those two folders and copied movies25.bif in there, restarted installer, still says they're missing. Help?

Windows 7, C:/Baldurs Gate and C:/Baldurs Gate/BG2 - SoA
I don't think I've done the last bit, is there a guide somewhere?

There's a cmd does not tell the details.
Can you use Process Explorer v15.04 and tell the Command Line?
@Conot:
Double-Click Baldur.ini, Search for [Alias], look what's there.
Code goes as follows:
Read CD5:-Entry => see if there are multiple entries => see if file exists in that path.
(Just for show)
$BG2AliasDir=IniRead($g_BG2Dir & '\baldur.ini', 'Alias', 'CD5:', $g_BG2Dir&'\CD5\') If StringInStr($BG2AliasDir, ';') Then $BG2AliasDir=StringSplit($BG2AliasDir, ';') For $b=1 to $BG2AliasDir[0] If StringRegExp($BG2AliasDir[$b], '\x5c\z') = 0 Then $BG2AliasDir[$b]&='\'; add trailing backslash if it's missing in new compilations If FileExists($BG2AliasDir[$b] & 'Movies\25movies.bif') Then $BG2AliasDir=$BG2AliasDir[$b] ExitLoop EndIf Next EndIf If StringRegExp($BG2AliasDir, '\x5c\z') = 0 Then $BG2AliasDir&='\'; add trailing backslash if missing If Not FileExists($BG2AliasDir & 'Movies\25movies.bif') Then $Error&=_GetTR($Message, 'L2')&@CRLF; => movie-file is missing
If you just want to continue, change BiG WOrld Setup\Includes\17_Testing.au3, line 408.
Local $ret_Error=0, $ret_Extended=0, $Return = 1

Questions ? eaw: What's under this:Sorry, I need to do what? Go into baldur.ini and then...?@Conot:
Double-Click Baldur.ini, Search for [Alias], look what's there.
[Alias]In the file.
The help for that is in the main FAQ, under the "Cummon Windows Problems";I don't think I've done the last bit, is there a guide somewhere?
2.Q3 What should the GoG BGII [Alias] section look alike ? If one installs in to the C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ directory... and what else.
[Alias] HD0:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD1:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\data\ CD2:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\data\ CD3:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\data\ CD4:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\data\ CD5:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\data\;C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\CD5\OR[Alias] HD0:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD1:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD2:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD3:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD4:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\ CD5:=C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\;C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\CD5\
Because the GoG version is not totally alike the original, you should rename the readme as "BG2-ToBPatchReadMe.txt" and copy the 25movies.bif file from the data directory to the C:\BWS\BGII - SoA\CD5\movies\ -directory. This is because the BWS is build to check those files, so it can be considered genuine updated BGII - SoA + ToB game.

I believe having BG2 as a sub-directory of your Baldur's Gate game directory is not a wise choice. I would probably be safer if you had them side by side, for instance.Windows 7, C:/Baldurs Gate and C:/Baldurs Gate/BG2 - SoA

You are sure you stopped anti-something-software?
patch wants to edit files and some software might think of a virus if it tries that.
You do have full access to the folder in your current state? Tried as administrator?
