Hey, I could be wrong in thinking, but has the experience gains and such changed with the Big World Project? If so, is there anyway I can turn it off? It takes way too long for someone like me (impatient
) to level up. Thanks.

The walls have ears....but has the experience gains and such changed with the Big World Project?
But the answer to your question is not particularly, in most aspects.
The BiG World compilation packs today install a lot of mods that alter the gained experience amounts, because there is no good canonical role on how the XP giving should go. Why ? Cause the BGII give XP from opening locked doors, disarming traps and learning spells, unlike the BG1 did. There is also the balance factor...
So it all depends on what mods you install.

For some reason, the BWP Guide recommends the installation of almost all XP adjusting mods resulting in redundant cuts to things like lockpicking / spell learning / trap disarming XP. Personally, I found TURAMBAR_FIXES_TWEAKS had the kind of exponential increase in spell / trap / lock XP that was balanced.

Hi,For some reason, the BWP Guide recommends the installation of almost all XP adjusting mods resulting in redundant cuts to things like lockpicking / spell learning / trap disarming XP.
It HIGHLY depends on the mods you choose, the number of mods you choose and the difficulty level you want (decreasing XP is a way to increase difficulty).
There is no perfect settings for every one.
Edit : Moreover, it only adds difficulty in the beginning of the adventure, and mods like BGSpawn will automatically tune down difficulty if you level up slowly.
