MODS THREAD

Because mods aren't part of the canon game content, I thought that I'd start a separate thread from the gameplay one for Skyrim mod discussion. To begin this thread, here are PC Gamer's early top 10 mods.

You can find the current and future selection of mods at various sites, the most prominent one being Skyrim Nexus (of the Nexus Network). Planet Elder Scrolls (IGN hosted) will also feature a wide variety of mods. No doubt we'll see many sites spring up in the following months, so please feel free to post your findings.

Bethesda has announced that the Skyrim Creation Kit will be released in January. They're also working on Steam Workshop for user made content.

I'm a bit late to this party, but there were a few interesting articles on the Escapist on Skyrim mods. The articles are at least a month old, so they may be a bit obsolete, I didn't check. But as soon as I have Internet at home once more, I'm going to download and install QD Interface (if only for the value over weight component) and Better Sorting.

The Creation Kit is released! Bethesda has also released an official high resolution texture pack, and a tutorial for modding and uploading the mods to Steam Workshop.

Portal 2 Space Core mod

To celebrate the opening of the Steam Workshop for Skyrim, Valve and Bethesda have teamed up to bring you the Portal 2 Space Core mod, which will let the aggressively space-centric little robot tag along on your adventures in Tamriel.

For anyone who is using the High resolution Texture Pack I recommend watching this.
