You mean the "Rune of Torment" spell? Then yes. I tried a number of lvl 8/9 spells and could skip all of them. Remember now, these are movies that can be skipped not the spell effects scripted into game. I'm 99% sure you are correct that in vanilla PST you couldn't skip them. However, either some of changes in widescreen mod or ddfix/nvidia fix made it possible so they could be skipped.

Cool. Then only the "in engine" ones remain. Abyssal fury, that starts a animation of the hells, etc?

Yep. And I'm pretty sure those are scripted events for animation files and such and not hardcoded into engine. Skipping those would probably require heavy edits, not sure.

I'm NOT going to look into it skipping the non-mve... movies -> I've got to many other hacking projects going
----

The first part of the spell Celestial Host's (non-mve) movie lags BAD with GhostDog's-PST-UI
it is fine with just the widescreen mod installed
I commented out all the engine patches relating to Celestial Host and the problem remains.
However, if I delete S091GATE.BAM the problem goes away
I really don't know much about the IE engine...
could it be a problem with the modded BAM?
or do you think a missed engine patch is needed somewhere?

shrinking the image down helps
looks like the image is just too big more my machine
Is it not lagging for anyone?

Yeah It does the same for me too. It's not severe lag, but it's slower. Maybe I should make the bam transparent and remove the gate altogether. Anyway, I'll add the movie stretch thing in the new version of the UI and maybe do something about celestial host.

Yah it lags for me as well. I don't really like idea of removing it. It isn't that bad anyway just noticeable. Working on some else atm to look into lag but the offset for playing BAM files function (at least for ITM effects) in 2CD version is: 0x004D09B4. Figured I'd throw that out there if anyone was interested in looking into it.
