I'm planning to record a let's play of Baldur's Gate in the future and I was wondering if this team would survive through the saga of I&II.

My Main could be a fighter, mage, fighter/mage
Human - Neutral - Two handed Sword

Ranger Stalker - Half-Elf - Neutral good - Scimitars
Fighter wizard slayer - Human - Chaotic Evil - bastard sword and shield
Paladin Inquisitor - Human - Lawful Good - Crossbow/Long sword
Thief Assassin - Elf - Chaotic Evil - dagger/shortbow
Ranger Archer - Human - Neutral Good - Long Bow

I'd recommend a cleric or druid in there, for divine spells - and healing in particular. Cleric's the best bet.

theacefes: You have to be realistic as well, you can't just be Swedish!

I'd drop the Stalker for a multi-class fighter/cleric.

Edit: Just to specify, you can beat the game(s) with that party. My suggestion just makes it easier on you. Stalkers aren't very good for anything but pure role-playing.

Same advices as above, I'd replace the Stalker with a Cleric (Kit if you like) or Fighter/Cleric.

I don't really like vanilla Wizard Slayer so I won't comment on that.

Inquisitor is just great, especially with vanilla dispel cheese.

Assassin is a lot of micro-managing and potions of invisibility, but played well it's a killer ^^

Archer is just great, especially in BG1 (Guessing you're using at least BGT mod)

My opinion for your PC : I'd pick a mage as you're severely lacking arcane power in this team, and it's pretty much a requisite for some of the toughest fights towards the end of SoA and through whole ToB. It's very slow and boring for a while though. You could also play a human fighter (Kensai  ) until lvl 9 (Hit Points) or 13 (extra 1/2 attack) then dual to mage (Should be early/mid-SoA); depending on XP mods (cap removal up to lvl50 available) or not you could also dual at 7 (where you get 1/2 extra attack too, should be around BG1 end or SoA start). Multiclass Fighter/Mage is fine too but lacks power without XP cap removal in ToB.

Thanks everyone. :)

The other characters are based on my youtube friends choices but I see the point on needing a healer in the group.

I made portraits featuring each of them. :D

My archer portrait is based from my previous solo playthrough and I'm just using it again for this one.
