Hello everybody^^

I don't know if this forum is still active (hopes so, anyway), but I am writing because I am having trouble with Cerendor Hold.
I had talked with the Earl, the Caravan Master, freed his men from the dungeon and started happily attacking Red Wizard. I found Ailoth (great hiding place, kid!) and talked with him as well. But now if I try to talk with the caravan master or the earl, it said they have nothing to say to me :S
Is it right? Since there is no walktrough, I don't know how it is supposed to go... I would hate to miss content :S

Thank you!

If you've had a full conversation with Ailoth Tam then he will have told you about the caravan; a new area should now have appeared in the Cloudpeak Mountains.

ys0370.

As it happens, I think I've found your problem. You need to talk to Ailoth, then the Caravan Master. If you still get no joy, go to the Caravan Master, use the console to enter the following:-

SetGlobal("ys_TalkedToCaravanMaster","GLOBAL",5)
SetGlobal("ys_TalkedToAiloth","GLOBAL",1)

- then talk to him again.

I want to also add that I had this same problem. (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!)

After talking to Ailoth (with Jaheria in party), the conversation path I took only led me down the path to Government West and going to the desert place (where you find find the flower to save that one gal).

There was no mention of the caravan, nor did cloudpeak open up. After speaking with Ailoth, no other NPCs in the Hold had anything to say to me.

I did however find a group of soldiers at the dock with another guy who ended up leaving and giving me 100,000xp. Based on the text, I assume he is the final NPC to speak to? I assumed this was the caravan everyone was talking about lol.

A spoiler would be nice if there is one available. I assume I missed the caravan due to conversation choices and not installation bugs.

My install order is SOA > TOB > PATCH > G3FIX > G3TWEAK > ITEM PACK > FFT (or maybe FFT > ITEM PACK)

It looks as if both of you may not have killed all of the Red Guards; either that or the death totaliser didn't work correctly. Hanyabull - you have a relatively simple game install - can you supply me with a savegame after the following actions please?

- speak to Ailoth Tam
- go to the Caravan Master's room
- try to speak to the Caravan Master
- save the game.

You may already have one that suits? Once you have the savegame, you can use the same console actions as above to get the Caravan Master to respond.

It never occurred to me that anyone might want to deliberately (or accidently) leave the caravan alone and speak to Bengoch before the caravan is destroyed. I'll need to change Bengoch's dialog to take account of this possibility.

Can anyone give me a heads up? I cannot find the earl anywhere. I've been over both floors about 4-5 times now, heh heh. I must be blind.

Go to the top floor blue room and if he is absolutely not there, use the following console command:

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("yschearl")

These are the only two reported instances of this problem, so I can only assume that the top floor script hasn't triggered correctly for you both.

Ah... sorry I missed this quote. I picked a bad time to stop coming back. :P

Unfortunately I had finished that game awhile back and no longer have the save (or the install!). I came back to check on any updates though, and plan on replaying FFT on future play. Good mod, I really like the fact that you don't rehash many of the pre-existing bioware maps. I swear, I think I had an install that took me to Nalia's castle 5 times.

Just FYI: I've now modified Bengoch's dialog so that you can deal with him before dealing with the caravan. As there have been so few real bugs I think I'm going to put out a v2.0 very soon.

I Had the same problem with talking first to Ailoth after I finished all the red guards and the caravan master had nothing to say. It looked to me that there needs to be a second block in the dialogue to cover this case where you talk to Ailoth before you talk to the CM, like below

IF~Global("ys_TalkedToCaravanMaster","GLOBAL",4)
Global("ys_TalkedToAiloth","GLOBAL",1)
Global("ys_GarrisonFight","GLOBAL",3)~ THEN BEGIN Cloudpeaks2:
SAY~So that's the story is it? We'll be on our guard in future for any caravan that originates from Calimsham and arrives somewhat over-guarded! Listen now: that caravan left here bound for Athkatla and has to cross the old mountain road. If you cut north of the river and head west from here you should catch up with it in the Cloudpeaks somewhere. Good luck - though I doubt you'll need it!~
IF~~THEN DO~ AddexperienceParty(60000)
RevealAreaOnMap("ys0370")
SetGlobal("ys_TalkedToCaravanMaster","GLOBAL",6)
AddJournalEntry(@....,QUEST)~EXIT
END

First floor - or if you're American, the second floor - in the kludgie (restroom). Look on the minimap - the room is a shade of dark blue. Make sure you talk to the Caravan Master and get the 'missing Red Wizard' speech before you go looking for Ailoth Tam. I haven't been able to upload v2.0 with Roxanne's patch because there's a problem with the forum software.
