PARAM1 on the awesomely relatively newly fixed effect 181 can be used to display a string like with 180.

In NI, this is weirdness. You have to convert the string # to hex, then flip the pairs. $STR 42276 is 24a5, but for PARAM1 you have to put a5 24 00 00.

That's how numbers are stored on intel processors.
Tell NI to display the number as a long, instead of 4 bytes.
(dltcep can do this).
