I have start BG1 with human kensai with stats 18\03-18-18-18-15-3, 2 points at dual weapons and 2 points at scimitars.
strength will be 19 at the end of BG, wisdom will be 18.
At 13 level I will dual it to mage.

It all depends what you want and what you consider best. If youre willing to grind endless fire giants, in terms of absolute endgame power on a single character, its pretty damn hard to beat a super-leveled F/T/M.
But its a terrible choice if you arent willing to min max and expect to be powerful all the way through.
