Just got a Mega mod install done (Tactics) but now when i load it up I'm having an issue.

When I start the game, the TobEx loader starts up. However, it then quickly throws the error "Not enough free disk space to continue, shutting down".

I've done the install on my secondary hard drive (not C:) in its own folder. I assume the issue is that I actually have too much free space (>2TB) but I have no idea how to solve this.

I didn't have the error before the mod install.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Actually managed to dig up some more information regarding a solution. Posting it here in case anyone else comes across the same problem in the future. Its not explicitly a mod problem (though in this case it seemed to cause it), basically apparently Infinity Engine programs can't handle hard drives with >2TB of free space.

The solution in my case was to shrink the volume that my BG install was on and use the additional space to form a new partition. Once it was <2TB everything worked fine and I'm now working through BG1 with all the mods on. I forgot how hard it was as a randomly spawned Hobgoblin one-shotted my main char. But its fun. Thanks to all here for the help, in this topic and others.

Erhm, was the problem that you got a warning from the BG1 installer... the solution being just ignoring the warning as it's false. Yeah, you can actually do that.
Or is it actually ToBEx related ? As that could be helped if you report it in here...

Problem wasn't with the installer (which I did ignore), but with actually loading the game. Can't actually ignore that one as it shuts down the game immediately..

I think its an inbuilt Baldur's Gate issue rather than a mod one. Just happened to not happen before mods but did after (maybe something to do with less free space due to the mods, with the improper way it was reading it)
