As has previously been reported undead slaying items such as Azuredge kill undead 100% of the time on hit, and give no experience for such kills.  Disabling Use EFF File Fix allows you to get XP for the kills, but you still kill them every time - if they make their saving throw the 'Undead destroyed' message does not appear but they still die.

A related problem results in passing a saving throw vs spells for the spell effect but still getting a portrait icon or visual effect indicating you have been affected.  Setting Saving Throw Fix=0 restores the expected behaviour.

I've the same problem too, and I think all others :)

I noticed the problem happens only for BLUN12.ITM and AX1H10.ITM for now, but I think there are others items with the same problem and it's a bit frustrating especially because the party must "avoid" to use Azuredge and others items vs Undeads....and also for the possibility of destroying Bodhi in Chapter 3 before she can escape, as said rbx4 and Hardrada.

I would like not setting Saving Throw Fix and Use EFF File Fix to 0.....so Ascension64, can you solve the problem?? Pleeeaaassee....!!! :crying:

Edit:

@Ascension64:

Do you think, for now, is better to setting "Saving Throw Fix" and "Use EFF File Fix" to 0???

@ilot: Sure that's fine. I don't have time to work on anything at all, probably for the next 4 months.

The saving throw related bugs are quite annoying... nothing worse than seeing your entire party with the 'confusion stars' above them and icons on portraits, then trying to figure out individually which ones are actually confused, etc.

I've noticed that version 26 seems to address these bugs; is it possible to upgrade from v 25 by simply following the instructions to uninstall existing version and reinstall the new version of TOB EX with no changes/reinstalls of any other mods... without crapping out my entire install or saved games?

Probably better to find the TobEx.dll in the archive and copy it over the one installed in your game directory. Note there still is a bug with the saving throw fix at the moment where the Save Vs Spell message will display too many times, but the saves actually work correctly now.

Hi, I noticed something while playing. For spell  effects such as stun, how come only female characters get a symbol over their heads while the males are just unclickable. For reference, my party consists of Keldorn, Minsc, Aerie, Jaheira, Imoen and myself (male Kensai) and only Jaheira, Aerie and Imoen would get symbols over their head if the party gets stunned.

Have you confirmed it is TobEx by disabling TobEx?

Also, which spells specifically?

Um... this is a bit embarrassing... I thought it only affected female characters, but it turned out all my male characters had some sort of item which allowed free movement. For example, Minsc had Archbane equipped and that prevents hold person. Because of this, he can still be stunned, but the sword's effect prevents the little symbol from appearing over his head. When I unequip the sword, he can be stunned and the symbol will come up. Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience. It was my fault. TobEx works like a charm.

Well, that only means that the game should actually dissern the stun, hold and web effects as different, and thus use different effect icons.
But that might be there already with spell enhancement mods...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Just curious, is there a fix for the Save Vs Spell message displaying too many times? Thanks.

Disable Saving Throw Fix.

I sort of meant without disabling the fix itself, which btw I am grateful for your hard work on. Thanks anyway!

Has anyone noticed the repeated lines bug also exists (and is repeated many more times) with Magic Resistance? Or is this definitely not TobEx's fault?
