Sun Soul Monk kit v1.2a
By: Everyone's Fail Geek.

SUN SOUL MONK: Monks of the Sun Soul Order believe that they each harbor a small fragment of the sun's divine essence, long absent from the Realms and are trained to tap into the "spiritual light" within and manifest it externally. Their training does provide some drawbacks to their melee capabilities.

Advantages:
- May use the Sun Soulray abilitiy once per day every 3 levels (starts at 1st level with one use). Maximum of 7 uses at 19th level.
- May use the Flaming Fists ability once per day every 5 levels (starts at 5th level with one use). Maximum of 4 uses at 20th level.
- May use the Abundant Step ability once per day at 11th level. Gains another use at 21st level.
- May use the Sun Soul ability once per day at 16th level.
- May use the Sun Soulbeam ability once per day at 21st level.

SUN SOULRAY: The Sun Soul Monk projects a beam of light from his/her open palm, doing 1d6 fire damage per 2 levels up to a maximum of 5d6. Undead take 2d6 fire damage per 2 levels, up to a maximum of 10d6.

FLAMING FISTS: The Sun Soul Monk wreathes his fists in flame, giving them 1d6 damage for 2 rounds. The duration increases by 1 round every 5 levels up to a maximum of 5 rounds.

ABUNDANT STEP: The Sun Soul Monk teleports to a single place in visual range.

SUN SOUL: The Sun Soul Monk protects him/herself by using his/her inner flame to create a Red Fireshield.

SUN SOULBEAM: The Sun Soul Monk focuses his/her inner light, emitting a dazzling Sunray.

Disadvantages:
- May only be of Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral alignment.
- May not gain additional uses of Stunning Blow until after 20th level.
- May not use Quivering Palm.
- May not be Proficient with melee weaponry.

Just a quick and dirty mod: A Sun Soul Kit for Rasaad. I was never good with balance but I did want to give him ranged damage capabilities because a monk at early levels is just a tad bit underpowered.

Comes with three components: The actual kit itself, some Sun Soul Kit items, and the files to make Rasaad the kit. While the actual kit can be installed in non-BGEE installs, you won't be able to select it (I believe it's a hardcoded thing).

I know of one issue so far: The pronoun tags don't appear to be working in a BGEE install. I'm looking into it now.

Okay fixed the game breaking "I use Sun Soulray and the game crashes" bug. Also fixed an issue with Flaming Fists not actually Flaming the Monk's Fists.
Yes, I tested this. No, it wasn't very well. I am so very sorry

Also: Flaming Fists shows the icon for Resist Fire/Cold. You do not actually Resist Fire/Cold. This is a placeholder for a fire-related icon so it shows when Flaming Fists is active. Any suggestions anyone?

While the actual kit can be installed in non-BGEE installs, you won't be able to select it (I believe it's a hardcoded thing).
There's a dirty way to go around that issue by making the kit appear else where and then just using a spell to summon a creature that orders the character to change class kit etc... so it's doable, but less than optimal. Hmm, a Monk kit... :)

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

Hmm...Didn't think about that method. I'll look into it.

The main problem (if I recall correctly) was the skill requesting to use a resource that wasn't there. Either a BAM or a VVC that I misspelled or I realized came from a mod that I installed and wasn't native to BG EE. I substituted it to one that would kind of fit, and it should be fixed (tell me if there are any issues).

A NWN player here - will it be possible to either add a Sun Soul AC bonus or the actual boots of the Sun Soul in the future(and, yes, +5 is good :) )?

I'm never ever using any "abilities per level", though, including stunning fist and quivering palm, so I can't judge how underpowered  or overpowered they are. I just believe that Sun Soul monk equals Sun Soul boots. :)

(And that annoying guy, Kane from Vaasa, who beat Artemis Entreri, was also a Sun Soul monk, from what I understand. But that's probably non-relevant).

As of now I'm still working on creating an item and script to apply the kit in game without using a save editor, as well as cleaning up any code to ensure its compatible with future Megamods (Sword and Fist, I'm looking at you). Any additional items I have no idea about (not really playing tabletop myself, and having only a distant memory of Neverwinter Nights 2).

Boots of the Sun Soul should be relatively easy though. It's just a +5 armor class boots right? I remember NWN2 having them from +1-+5. GameBanshee is telling me that the higher level ones in NWN1 come with DEX bonuses, so I could just make five different pairs of boots.

[knowing me and my propensity to play with new toys I find, I would probably use the Item: Casts Spell on Contingency effect to make one pair of boots that increase their boosts with level. Casts a nameless spell every round when equipped that increases AC, with a DEX bonus at higher levels, all lasting for 7 seconds]

Be forewarned: KISS applies at least doubly to IE modding.

Oh yeah, that I know. Which is why I probably will end up with just five boots.

Updated!

Ended up actually making 5 boots. Tried to stagger the prices of the boots to be appropriate to their bonuses.
Did some things with the TP2 to make it more friendly with Sword and Fist, although without BG2 with me at the moment, I can't test it.
