Bard HLA problem

Tested a few things out, noticed that my Blade bard isn't getting Whirlwind as a HLA as his kit description says, anyone know why that happens? I'm using RR 4.48 and i had also installed Refinments and done as avenger advised to (installed RR first without HLA options, installed Refinements and then installed RR's HLA components).

It does not seem like the bit that deals with compatibility with Refinements replaces Enhanced Song with Whirlwind Attack for Blades, like the non-Refinements bit does. Will fix in the next version.

Would i be able to simply install the future updated version over the old one to get the fix (with a new game) or do i have to reinstall BG2 and everything else?

Your best bet is to use a NearInfinity, open up the file called LUBA2.2da in the 2DA folder and a "GA_SCPL900" to replace one of the last "    *    " 's... unless the kit already has 24 HLA slots reserved.

MInd repeating that in easier-to-comprehend steps, the only thing BG-related i've ever worked with is Shadow Keeper D:

Erhm, the NearInfinity should probably be unneeded by the way. If you have not made the install with BWS... or installed the Generalized Biffing mod(at least lets hope so, as it's then easier).
Well, go to the game directory, then open the "override" folder, then find the "luba2.2da" file open up that with Notepad program, ---if it's not there, you have installed the GB, and then you need to use the NearInfinity...---, it should look something like this.
You then go and add in the whirlwind ability by adding the specific GAplah plah plah, say the linked examples tablelooks like this before:
11         GA_SPCL921 *          *          1          99         1           *            *           *                  
12         *          *          *          *          *          *           *            *           *                  

And then like this after:
11         GA_SPCL921 *          *          1          99         1           *            *           *                  
12         GA_SPCL900 *          *          1          99         16          *            *           *                  
You of course need to take consideration that the example table is the unmodified normal bards, not the already modified blades file like in your game directory... etc.
the only thing BG-related i've ever worked with is Shadow Keeper
That's not the entire truth, by the simple fact that you have actually installed mods... :P :P :P

Yep(note the tiny edit, so the numbers match :P ), well if you wish, you could make the lines match each others with spaces.
And no, there's no chance of this screwing up your game.

Erhm, there's actually something wrong -not that it matters that much perhaps, but anyways- with the file already, as in it has an extra "* " on it ... so should all ends up as:

Worked like a charm, thanks for the info.

 

One more question, though i think it's unrelated to RR. I decided to give Haer'Dalis a shot now since bards are not worthless anymore. Noticed he has 2 proficiency points in both long swords and short swords, as a character specific thing since bards/blades can't normally have more than 1 point in any weapon. This was supposed to give him an extra 1/2 attack per round as long as he was using said weapons, but i tested it out a bit and i don't think said bonus is working at all i.e. i gave him a mace and a scimtar and he gets 2 attacks per round, and with a long sword + short sword he gets the same ammount, when he should get 2 and 1/2 (or 3? not really sure). Any idea what could cause this?

Well, the non-warrior class(Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger & Paladin) characters have only the normal 1 attack per round with one weapon, and 2 with two, the cause is the vanilla rules, that's why the game only allows proficiency for most classes. There's a go around for this in the ToBEx mod as well as in another mod I forgot, but the ToBEx has it's stuff too, among a lot of other stuff.
