Mass Effect 3 Installation Failure

I just bought Mass Effect 3, and when I was installing it Origin activated the game, then crashed. When restarted the install, it asked me for the product code again, then told me it had already been used, so I can't actually install the game.

 

PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, UK edition of game.

 

I can't download the game, because I have Mobile Broadband @£10 per Gigabyte, so it would be cheaper to just buy another copy.

 

I tried to find an email address on the EA website, but no joy and their 0870 number puts me on endless hold, which is not an option when I only have a mobile.

 

Anybody have any ideas what to do next, please?

Okay, maybe you already tried this, but have you checked out their help page?  Barring that, maybe you can send their support an e-mail?

This is odd, the moment you entered the code, it should've binded it to your Origin account, is it not showing up in your games library?

Thanks, Eleima, I've tried that page, and all the other help pages, but none of them, including the "Contact Us" link, give an email address. ME3 does indeed show up in the Games library in Origin, but Origin won't let me install it. If you or anyone else knows an email address, that would help immensely.

Sorry, I don't have an e-mail address on hand.  But in the "Contact Us" section, you have the opportunity to have them call you (if you're in Canada or the US), or to sign up for a live chat with a support tech/guy/person.  Good luck, it can be really frustrating!  :(

AFAICS, EA have done their best to do away with email support. The nearest to email these days is Twitter (goes away to wash his mouth out with soap).

Thanks, folks. The only available options on the "Contact us" page are Twitter and Facebook, and I can't even raise a topic in the forums, so I guess I won't be playing ME 3 after all - or any other "Powered by Origin" game after this experience. :angry:
