Hello,

couple of days ago I installed via BWS it's "Megamod" selection of mods (list of mods with links - http://pastebin.com/JLXaUetM ), but after some playing I found out that I'd like change some installation settings (especially turn off enemies' prebuffing).

I found in BWP guide which option numbers for Stratagems these are, but I have no idea what to edit it and what to run afterwards so that game would be, except of these changes, identical and I wouldn't have to start over.

I'm fine with running whole installation again but I'd really like to keep my saves compatible...

I'd really appreciate if somebody experienced could help me or point to some topic where was done something similar

(if it helps I uploaded logs from BWS to http://www.mediafire...4qdx2ll8l11whq9 (size ~1 MB, after unpacking over 40 MB))

---------------------

Also I have couple of minor problems, which I can quite happily live with, but wouldn't mind if somebody knew the solution:

1) all characters have 4 weapon slots in inventory (from TobEx mod, I suppose), but then in interface they have less (my multiclass fighter/thief char has only 2, even though he should have afaik at least 3)

2) characters don't keep their AI scripts after saving and loading (I use only standard ones and in fact they keep one for ranged("arange"?) attack, but not for standard("agen"?) attack or for being passive)

(thanks for reading all the way to the end)

1) Well, the mod didn't say they were to be useable, they are just there so you can actually carry more stuff... or something. And nope, the Fighter/thief had had always the 2 slots. The defense takes one GUI slot and the thieving abilities take the rest... Ouh, we so hope we could change the interface ... but it's totally decrypted to out of our hands...

3) Well, it's likely that you won't get a fully compatible and flawless recompilation of the mods you have installed so that the saved games would work flawlessly, but to make sure, you should have copy-pasted your weidu.log's content(open the file with Notepad), not the other files as that's the easiest way to actually tell people what you want: Put the text to these:

wow, thanks for such fast reply

I had no idea which files I should send

weidu.log :

Spoiler

I supppose that important are lines:

~SETUP-SCS.TP2~ #0 #5032 // Smarter mages -> Mages use BG1 spells only; mages pre-buff: v21
~SETUP-SCS.TP2~ #0 #5042 // Smarter priests -> Priests use BG1 spells only; priests pre-buff: v21

where should be imho #5030 and #5040 when pre-buffing is turned off, but I have no idea what to do with that (well, I found Big World Install.bat and line with these numbers, but even if I edit it, I don't know if I'm supposed to just run it, or start new installation, etc)

I really can't think of any reason why should anything related to these be in saved game files, so I hope that saves will work fine for me...

---

fighter/thief slots: really?  could have swore he had 3...

I would advice you to give the game a little bit more try and see if there's other things you want to remove...

But how you are going to do the remake of the game is that you did it like you did this, but this time around, you use the red highlighted thing in this:
capturevmp.png
It allows you to fully customize your mod settings component by component...

The saves won't probably like this, but you have to understand that... it's a small change, but you are still at BG1 if it's that component, and you have to thing a head of time...

Well, I successfully installed it (even though that while changing only few options in SCStratagems, somehow BWS decided that I need also Shadows of Soubar mod as dependency), and even my saves loaded fine, but when I got to world map, there is other ingame text as names of locations, so I guess that I'll rather start over

But thanks a lot for your help, next time I'll be wiser and handpick mods one by one
