Ok.. so attempting my first BigWorld Setup.  I ran into a few misc. issues, where it could not download a few addons, which I downloaded manually and then pointed the install set to the manually downloaded ones - thats cool and works well.  Then I ran into three auto-downloaded ones that were apparently corrupt.  I manually downloaded them but could not figure out how to get them to be recognized by the installer.  No biggie.. lost Tortured souls and two small charachter mogs.

But, during the install, fairly early on, Windows 7 popped up with the error:

Windows 7 error
setup-bg2fixpack.exe has stopped working

In a separate dialog box.

I will attach the setup-BG2fixpack.debug.

Now, farther into the install I have gotten the error:

Using Language [English (by Xicloing)]

SKIPPING: [Jan's Extended Quest]
Requires BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes

D:\games\BG\BGII - SoA>

Requires BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes
Jan's Extended Quest (Jan's Extended Quest) was skipped.

If a component was skipped during the install, this indicates a conflict or dependency that's still missing in the BWS. Either a similar component is
already installed and thus this message is harmless, or the component depends on a mod that's missing. If you don't want to continue after your
analysis, you can stop the BiG World Setup now and resume from this point later.
Enter [c]ontinue or [e].

And I suspect that I may get more that imply the fixpack is not installed.  I looked in the fixpack debug file and it looks like lots of stuff did get installed, but no clue how much was missed.

How do I proceed/recover from this?  Do I manually run the fixpack after downloading a new copy of it?  Recommendation would be greatly appreciated!
