I installed all other mods and everything worked fine. When I tried to install this last mod to fix the UI, it spit an error and made my Torment.exe disappear. I don't know how but the exe is nowhere to be found. I checked in Recycle bin wether I have accidently deleted it but its wasnt there so I assume it must have been moved or hidden somewhere by the Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe. Any ideas ?

First of all go to Torment's main installation folder, open SETUP-GHOSTDOG'S-PST-UI.DEBUG with notepad and copy-paste its contents here, in order to see where the installation stopped.

It's the first time I've heard of the .exe disappearing, are you sure it wasn't already missing ? If it was already missing this would be the reason for the installation error. Anyway, to make sure it wasn't for some strange reason deleted during the backup sequence, go to the GhostDog's-PST-UI\Backup\0 folder and look for the Torment.exe there. Weidu autobackups all edited files and puts them there. If you find it, copy it back to the main Torment folder. If you don't find it there go and check for it in the backup folder of the previous mod you had installed. You could also just do a windows search for Torment.exe to see if it has been misplaced somewhere.

Some general tips:

1. Make absolutely sure you've extracted the mod correctly into the main installation folder. In your Torment main directory there should be : A folder named GhostDog's-PST-UI and 2 files :Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe and Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.tp2. It sounds easy, but many times people get this wrong.

2. If you're using Vista or Win7-8 don't install the game in the Program files folder. These OS have restrictions in program files that are not weidu-mod friendly.

3. If you're having problems installing the mod, disable your Antivirus and try again. Some AVs (especially AVG free) will not let the installation finish.

4. In some random cases when you install multiple weidu mods that use different versions of weidu, the automatic update during the installation gives an error. To fix that, you can copy the .exe with the most recent version over the other ones (rename it accordingly and replace the other mod executables)

5. Make sure the resolution you're trying to use is supported by your graphics card. If not, you'll need to add it as a custom resolution through your graphics card control panel.

6. If all else fails re-installing the game+mods may fix the problem. For a comprehensive guide for having a fully modded game, look here.

Ok, here's what's been going on:

1. Yes, I have extracted the mod correctly into the main installation folder. The folder GhostDog's-PST-UI is in there and so are the mod's .exe and .tp2 files.

2. Win 7 64bit,  Game is installed in F:

3. I don't have an Antivirus at all. Not even windows firewall is on.

4. Did that with the widescreen mod but this time it doesn't seem to be same problem.

5. The resolution I'm trying to use is 1280x1024, one that I have been using for ages on this PC.

6. I reinstalled the game yesterday and tried to copy the fresh Torment.exe into the old installation, but I guess things just don't work this way since I get a "windows cannot access this file" error.

Here's what I get when the Torment.exe is missing in the main folder:

And this is when I use the copied Torment.exe, that I found in the \GhostDog's-PST-UI\Backup\0 folder.

For some reason the mod can't edit/access the Torment.exe. Maybe it's UAC thing ? Apart from uninstalling everything and re-installing in a different directory, I don't have any other ideas.

You were right. My UAC settings have gotten messed up for some reason. I took ownership of both Torment.exe and Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe and then gave myself full control. Everything's working fine now and I'm thoroughly enjoying the game ^^ Thank you for your time  ghostdog  :new_thumbs:

Is this mod officially broken? Because I can't install it...

Just downloaded PS:T, and the link on this site does not work. File type is garbage and won't install at all.

Which means no PS:T widescreen, which means on a 36 inch monitor the resolution is too awful to play. This sucks. Less worried about wasting $10 on GoG than I am about being unable to play the best narrative driven RPG of all time.

Maybe someday someone will fix this mod.

Also means I can't install the fixpack, which really DOES mean the game is unplayable.

@Adam: Try download the file from here. The fie in SHS download center is not actually broken either, just the report function is... and some people have reported the files getting corrupted by something, that can be fixed by downloading the exact same file from a different place.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
