For an installation via an automated installer (Big World Setup to be specific) I need an older version of BP, if possible v180c. While I fully appreciate the new version, it seems the older versions aren't available any more. Is there any location where I can download the v180c. For a link or a reupload to the forum I would be eternally thankful ;).

Look on the right side of the downloads page for BPv181, at least the BPv180c link should be good still? If not, we'll need the admin's help--at least until the BWP crew can update their package. Note that the new link might still not work w/ the auto downloader feature as currently written. Hard for me to say, I haven't used BWP in many moons.

I'll post a hacked copy in the forums if all else fails, but that's a last resort over a 'pure' link. And naturally, I won't be offering any bug support for archived versions of the mod. That was one of the driving reasons for all the hours spent making this new version.

@Horred the plague: Thank you for the swift answer. The download link seems to be down. While v180c is still listed under previous versions the linked page cannot be found. For BWP/BWS the file under any link would be sufficient. As long as the content is the version BWP is expecting (in this case v180c) thinks should be wad.

I would adapt the current "big world install.bat" to work with the new version, but I didn't work with this file in a very long time and in combination with the stacked BWS thinks aren't getting any easier, thus my v180c solution approach ;).

I found a version thanks to Dabu from the Kerzenburg-Forum. Then again if the version would be available here at the official source, other people might appreciate it :).

I re-loaded BPv180C to the current BPv181 downloads page, you can find it there for now (right next to latest beta of BPv181). Correct--you shouldn't have to leave the mod's home of the past nine years, just to get the files. Hopefully this new version will be incorporated into BWP in the near future, because breaking it up into smaller sections should greatly benefit the mega-install and user choices. I had their work in mind, when building it.

Dear htp,

Still getting a "Sorry, we can't find that!" webpage when trying to download any of the BP v180C or before. All the v181's work though, but since the most recent BWS does not recognize BPv181 (even after telling it to use v181), the BWS program is forced to remove any dependancies of it; namely, Turnabout and some others....

I was wondering if they would be re-hosted on the mother-site (SHS) or was it loaded at one time this May?

Take care,

Zargon

What comes to versions, you could try this one... with the last BWS.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thank you Imp,

Worked like a charm. It recognized a more up-to-date version this way, although it was a lower one (v3000 I think); I wonder if there is a way for me to point it in the right direction myself...to get it to v4503 (the most up-to-date as of this writing).

On a side note, besides the v4503, two other mods have been updated, but BWP doesn't let me install or recognized it w/o uninstall its dependencies:

1. Weimer's Item Upgrade mod; BWP notices v39b, but not v40 at: http://weidu.org/Wei...Upgrade-v40.exe

2. 1PP (One Pixel Productions) v3 for many components instead of v4.1.0 (e.g, more colors to choose from for your character in Customize). I am unsure if this is due to compatibility problems or just an old link. At: http://www.shsforums...d/1006-1ppv410/

The link above in #2, I just noticed it is saying the file is corrupted on the website. It wasn't like this before--I hope everything is all right.

Anyway, thanks again--I was at least able to install BP now on BWS, thus allowing a lot of the megamod installation to work harmoniously. I wonder if there is a way to update the files myself to get it to recognize the updated version?

And I just want to say to horrid the plague that it is appreciated immensly and and all work you do for BWS by this fan.

P.S. Who created BWS (dabus, I think?)--I can't believe a human being could be so talented creating such a program in their spare time!? Moreover, who made that unbelievably delightful BWP readme (Latonius? [sp?])--what time and effort must have been put into that, jeezus....
