Combining sorcerer and wild mage / BG2

Hello,

 

first post with this account. Had another but didn´t use it so long I forgot the details.

 

Anyways, I thought about how fun it would be to have a class that uses the spell system of a sorcerer combined with the lunacy of a wild mage. It should have the usual 5 spells/level of a sorc and the wild mage spells(Wild Mage Additions included) thrown in as a bonus, as well as the 5% wild magic chance.

 

This is not about a balanced, fair class, but about kicking ass with a spell flinging madman. :shifty:

 

Would it be possible? Would someone maybe even do it? :D

Well, I can't say that it's doable as I don't have the tools now .. it should be doable... but the few things though are the facts that what to do with the extra stuff... as one way to do this is to just add the Wild spells to the normal Sorcerer and be done with that, but the sorcerer then might become more powerful than the norm... yes, it's not about balance...

 

Hmm there's also way to do this with the Shadowkeeper, you just have to take a Sorcerer.... and then make a ToB wildmage. Edit the two savegame with the Shadowkeeper and copy the affects and spells from the Wildmage to the Sorcerer.

Doable. Make a new sorcerer kit and add wild mage usability flag to it, this will enable WM spells for the sorcerer and add the wild magic effect to all spells (you may need to level up once before you notice the effects).

Erhm, in BG2.... in BG2EE yes, perhaps and definitelly in BGEE... but not in BG2.

You can have sorcerer kits in bg2 too, you just cant see them on character creation screen. A kit has to be added to a character after start of the game via scripting.

Yeah, I know the priocess... but it's not a strickly a "Sorcerer kit" then... it's actually a fighter kit(kinda the easiest to do that way) ... and as I said, what to do with the extra spells...
