Hi, not sure if this is a bug or intentional... But I've noticed that some powerful undead (Greater Mummies and Liches) are able to summon Skeleton Warriors that can't be targetted - and thus not attacked. CRTL+Y doesn't help either. They even gain some sort invisibility sometimes, in the sense that if summoned near a corner they can "stand in the wall" and decimate my party members...

Has behavior such as this been reported before?

I've looked at some of the fl#-files, but haven't been able to pinpoint what causes this behavior yet.
Needless to say, unattackable enemies makes the game somewhat harder than I'm used to!

It's the first I've heard of it.

Summoned creatures come with an invulnerability item, but it should be removed as literally the first thing they do.

I think the stand-in-the-wall thing might be a hardcoded bug. It sounds familiar. When it happens, try moving away from the spot, so the creature follows you and moves out into the open.

As for other kinds of invulnerable skeleton warriors, when it happens, can you try summoning some low-level critters to see if the fear aura is active? It should trigger once per round and affect any creature of level 5 or less within sight.

"Summoned creatures come with an invulnerability item, but it should be removed as literally the first thing they do"

- No no, what I mean is that there are no red circles underneath them when I press pause. And I can't target them with spells or CTRL+Y; it's as if they're not there... But they are, as they can attack my party members.
And of course I can't defend myself against enemies I'm not able to target.

The invulnerability item removes the foot circle. Please check if they have their fear aura on.

Or you could say what the .cre name is that the spell summons so it can be --change-log''ged and you could reproduce the error more easily... say like if their script was changed to a one that doesn't have the removal of the item.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I guess installing both aTweaks and Improved Summons' Animate Dead may be the cause of my enigma...?

Installing this "Improved Summons" mod after aTweaks is probably the source of your problem(s), yes.

Your installation order is very wrong...search for correct mod install procedures here or at G3 forum.

aTweaks should be at the very end of install order, at least.

As for the present problem, "Improved Summons" could be it, yes.

Try removing that, but you'll still have many problems and inconsistencies with your game.

Wisp beat me to it. :)

If someone can point me to a CORRECT install order (for my mods), I would be very happy... I've followed the general idea given about TuTu mods, here...
http://forums.gibber...?showtopic=8122

The only install order I've found otherwise is the very old
http://forums.pocket...36902#msg236902

Apart from that, I haven't seen many problems and inconsistencies in the game, actually... But then again, I don't know all AD&D 2nd edition rules by heart. :-)

Hmmm. I've noticed now that several of the immunex.itm files have a property called Scripting State Modifier. This is set 25 (which I don't know means; sorry, am not that into DLTCEP....)

The description for this property says the following interesting bit:

"This effect doesnt have proper bounds checking, and can therefore be used in unintended ways. For example scripting state 13 equals with the NO_CIRCLE attribute (stat #169)."

This goes for all I've looked at so far; immune1.itm, immune2.itm, immune3.itm and immune4.itm.
Are these the items which should be removed when the creatures spawn?

The scripting state modifier is for DS and is only for detectability.

aTweaks' invulnerability item is called rr#dinv.itm.

Very general order for you would be Ascension, Fixpack,  Spell and Item mods, Kits, Quest mods, NPCs/Banters,  BG2 Tweaks,  RR (without HLA's), Refinements, RR HLA's, aTweaks.

End with Virtue (I think this goes last, but I never played it) and Widescreen.

Oversight "tougher Sendai" component should go very early I think - iirc it's a very old mod - but don't take my word for it.

Monk HLA's component are overwritten by Refinements, so it's

redundant.

Aligment Corrections are included in Fixpack, so drop those also.

I had the same thing on a BWP install using BWS, so the order should be fine.   It's the skel warrior summons that indeed has RR#DINV.ITM added to it.  (gives invis, non-det, prot from creature type, and removes the circle).

Which mod tweaks skelwasu.cre to have the boots?...idk at present.

Funny enough, it had pros and cons: an invulnerable summons that gets ignored completely by mobs.  Not terribly useful as a distraction.

I solved by removing the item(boots) from skelwasu.cre.

Can someone who is experiencing this issue check to make sure that skelwasu.cre has exactly one script, fl#skwsu.bcs, assigned to it, and no others?

I think the problem is with SCS + aTweaks, not aTweaks alone.

skelwasu.cre has three scripts with SCS/aTweaks:

1) override - dw#sumei.bcs with only this code

IF
Allegiance(LastSummonerOf(Myself),GOODCUTOFF)
THEN
RESPONSE #100
ChangeAIScript("",OVERRIDE)
ChangeAIScript("dw#summe",CLASS)
ChangeAIScript("",RACE)
ChangeAIScript("",GENERAL)
ChangeAIScript("",DEFAULT)
END

2) class - fl#skwsu

3) default - again, SCS script dw2ms3ge.bcs (SCS generic combat script)

Yeah, the result of with the script it's actually going to use is the one it assigned to the .cre, which is dw#summe.bcs, and nothing else.

What's the install order here? Is SCS installed before or after aTweaks?

SCS before aTweaks
