Greetings noble ladies and gentlemen.

In the last days I have searched with no avail in the files with NearInfinity, the particular data, which determine the caster levels of the Paladin and the Ranger. Yet because I am a fresh newbie in the modding scene, I lack the experience how to figure it out by myself.

I was however able to manage, how to change the amount of spells of any spell grade the Paladin and Ranger (along with the other spellcasters) can receive, with the MxSplPal.2DA and MxSplRan.2DA files respectively. This is, but not enough yet for my little mod, which I want to design for players, who wish to unleash the cosmic, phenomenal powers at earlier and higher levels.

My apologies, if this topic is in the wrong subforum.

I will in any case credit those, who wish to help me.

Technically there is nothing that determines the spell level in any of the largely known BG2 files that dictate the spell casting levels for any of the classes... not that the Ranger or Paladin spells need that, as the spell descriptions can also lie a quite much of the actual things that happen... and there's also the fact that even the original opcode to give higher caster levels needs the ToBEx to be installed with the fix to even work... all that's to say that you might be better off trying to give the ranger/paladin kits better things.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I see, how unfortunate. Thank you though for your answer.

This topic can be closed now, because I have other questions, which would be off-topic here.
