These fixes are for the IR v4 beta, which is not in BWS. We'll try to correct the bugs for the release version of IR v4.

Just a quick note about Area Patcher ALPHA 4:

Do not "install" component 2000; does not work as expected and it is not needed.

Has corrected. Thanks.

Yes, and now it's added too.

Uh... asking to me? No, no need to reinstall again.

Have to edit AR9799 in NI and delete one of the two entrances Exit9900.

If I want to instal EET, should I install it from the standalone installer first (and then mod the game to my liking with BiG World Setup), or is it possible to EET it within BWS?

You should install all EE mods including EET from BWS! Do not install anything before BWS!

the EET BWS branch is currently disabled. Can't find a post but it has been mentioned somewhere in this topic. It will be enabled once ALIEN shows up to make such change and the work on BG2:EE mods compatibility will be finished. I'm currently in contact with several mod authors regarding code updates in their mods, related to EET support.

A couple of things that have crept up for me,

1) The Tyris Flare mod seems to be on an extra version that I can't find anywhere. Near as I can tell, the latest release is v6, not v7.

2) BG2 Team EE Armor Pack gives me an error message,

"ERROR: error loading [BG2eeAR/sto/cmtb2ees1.sto]
ERROR: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "BG2eeAR/sto/cmtb2ees1.sto")"

Googling solutions led to a forum post from the author with a fix...that's already been implemented in the mod I had downloaded (specifically the "change the cmtbees1 to cmtb2ees1" bit.)

@k4thos: so eet could be enabled and does not have to be held back? No bad water effects any more?
THINK! - It's not illegal.

EET works like a charm (BTW, even with water effect, EET was working for everything else :) )

Edit : the problem : some mods have been made compatible (by k4thos) but have not been made available by modders.

So, EET works ! The list of mods available for EET is short (compares to BWP) but increase :)

yeah, from technical standpoint nothing is holding it back now. Water is fixed thanks to Argent77' tile2ee tool. Thanks to Fouinto several fixes were also implemented. Some things are not finalized though (but still playable of course), mostly related to Siege of Dragonspear expansion, as I first need to take a look at new engine features, GUI system and SoD content before deciding how to handle its inclusion. This is important considering that SoD adds 7 new chapters to the game and aims to explain canonical party, what happens to BG1 NPCs etc. (or at least I think it does based on hints posted on Beamdog forums and stuff shown in announcement stream - I don't have any internal knowledge about it yet. And even if I did I wouldn't be able to share it anyway due to NDA - once beta starts any changes for EET related to it will be private until official SoD release). You can read how it works now in the readme (where SoD is still named Adventure Y, most stuff explained in F.A.Q (BGT -> EET comparison table). And some plans that we wish to implement can be read in this topic.

Before we will request the BWS branch to be re-opened I'm planning to contact most BG2:EE mods authors with request for inclusion of EET related changes (it's a matter of minutes to make the mod compatible if it doesn't have BG:EE content). I'm offering making those changes to code myself, so we hope that majority of mods will be compatible on release date. If no, there is still an option for a mod similar to BWP Fixpack that would patch in changes to mods on the fly, when installed with BWS, to make them compatible with EET, although I hope this won't be neccesarry - this would be controvercial approach as not all modders would be ok with it. Recently White Agnus joined the team and is also working on some mod conversions for EE engine, including EET support.

BG:EE mods have much less priority becouse many (including all large mods) are already compatible when installed on BG:EE previous to installing EET on BG2:EE. The list of such mods is here (quote from the readme):

Spoiler

Other than this, when it comes to BG:EE content, DSotSC is also ready for EET (port from BGT release) and I'm planning to update NTotSC too, but waiting for original author approval before starting the work on it.

If anyone is planning to play with EET now than send me a PM with list of mods that you want to use in your game and I will send you compatibility patches for them if they are ready, and if not they will be moved higher on priority list.

edit: I see that earlier in this topic there are images of my god awful attempted to create EET Worldmap. Since then Kirara offered her help to improve the look of it, so I'm posting new version here. This is how vanilla worldmaps have been merged. And this is how the art looks in game: without icons and with icons. For obvious reasons the map doesn't have SoD land added yet. We will also update BP-BGT Worldmap (which is fully compatible with EET btw.) with SoD areas after the expansion is released.

Lollorian, I see that you've taken care of this topic after ALIEN gone missing in action. Not sure if you're as tolerant as him for such posts. If no - sorry for the wall of text spam :P

Also, thank you for pointing me in the direction of that Tyris Flare mod. All my GoogleFu didn't work. :(

OK, all fixes integrated, including Roxanne's finding of some problems with the final solar talk - all credit for the update goes to Argent77. The official v7 of Tyris Flare is now up in the regular downloads section at G3 for Windows, OSX., and linux. Since IE Newsfeed is still messed up, here is the link for the official stuff:

G3's Tyris Flare NPC , by Grim Squeaker, has been updated by Argent77, and is now available for your BG2:SoA, BG2:ToB, BGT, and BG2:EE games. Meet Tyris Flare, a red-haired amazon who can kick ass and hurl fire! Sound familiar? That's because she used be in Golden Axe! But now she's lost in the Umar Hills and looking for the love of a good (or bad) Bhaalspawn. This latest version of Tyris has a couple of miscellaneous fixes, updates WeiDU, and is now available for Linux and for install on BG2:EE thanks to Argent77. Enjoy.

I tested it on Windows 10 using BG2:EE. No worries. Cool stuff.

Er... it's version of the BWP (BiG World Project), not BWS (BiG World Setup). Do you use any programs to install mods or you install them manually? If you install manually or using BW Installpack, then you need to download the unofficial but most up-to-date version of the BW Fixpack, because only it has a fix for latest TeamBG BG2EE Armor Pack. BWS does this automatically.

cmorgan, thanks, link updated by Lollorian.
