Excuse if I'm a bit out of topic but I seem not to find my answer. Is it possible to make an install with BWS and share it to another person so they only have to install the original games and then run BWS using whatever config file I would give them? In the purpose to play in a multyplayer game.

Thanks

Yes - you can Export your selection and give the file to your friend to Import.

I've tried to use BWS for IceWind Dale 1&2 as well as Planescape Torment. When I try to select mods an autoit error occurs. The issue seems to be how the widescreen mod is listed in select.txt. When "SUB;widescreen" is changed to "STD;widescreen" it seems to fix the problem.

Thanks for the report!

This may be a BWS issue as nothing was changed in Sandrah recently

http://www.shsforums...ng/#entry587075

I have tested Sandrah install just now with current version and there is no problem.

@agb1 Thanks for the answer. Was I blind or wasn't it well advertised? It's a very important feature for people planning to play a multyplayer game.

Well, now I'll create a new Windows Partition to test that, I wouldn't want to mess my current installation.

Suggestions for making the import/export capability more obvious would be welcome.

You do not need a separate Windows partition for a new install, just a separate folder.  (And a separate copy of BWS if you have another installation in progress at the same time; but you're better off not running two installs simultaneously on the same hard disk.)

Maybe boxing the features and/or coloring them?  I didn't notice the options at all my first time using BWS (like I didn't notice other things, such as being able to change subcomponents.)  Maybe something like this:

Spoiler

Spoiler

EDIT

Or perhaps a readme?  I looked around and didn't really find a good readme of BWS.  But perhaps that's just another thing I didn't notice.

Hey! I saw that you added Scales of Balance 5.0. I also saw that you've tagged it as a conflict with Might and Guile.

Scales of Balance, components 121-122 WPO seam to conflict with Might and Guile, 250-265, which is a shame. As the M&G components also overhaul abilities (Rage, etc.). Now I was thinking, wouldn't it be perfectly fine, to install the M&G components first, and then the SoB part for the profiecency system overhaul (effectivly overwriting this M&G entry)? Or do we really need to ask the author of M&G to seperate the abilities from the profiecency system?

This could very well be an error on my part as there were a lot of changes in the rules for SoB v5.  I've asked subtledoctor to review...

I'm fairly sure that subtledoctor doesn't intend for SoB and M&G to conflict with each other, so it's probably my mistake.

Yup, all of SoB v5 works with all of MnG. Nothing is lost, they work together.

Install order us something like...
- items
- quests
- NPCs
- spells
- kits
- tweaks
-- MnG
- SCS
-- SoB

OK, BWS has been updated to use MnG v2 and I've incorporated subtledoctor's feedback on the rules (I think I got all of it...).

Hi,

thank u so much for keeping the big world setup alive :)

I have a Problem i tried to install the Trilogy/Big world (like 4 times now) installations works fine but in the end it doesnt start correctly:

the Tob Exe Command screen appears and after some time the Icon for Baldurs Gate appears but nothing happens, and then like 4 min later both icons dissapear

I use The GOG versions ( do they still need patches or is GOG fine as it is?

(and i did the usual stuff like disabling VAC /ANtivirus...)

Any advice would be super helpful

Thank you

Ban - I'm seeing this problem too with my most recent install.  Very strange.  I will investigate.

Good morning. I was thinking: You know what would be great? A better clean-up. The ol' one deletes some files, but doesn't remove most of the extracted stuff. And maybe it can be an automated, last action of BWS?

Also, when restoring the backup, it would be quite handy to delete the contents of the override-folder. When I forget to do that there is always something in there, that will prevent BP AI from installing.

It would be good to give every item you wish to remove(and with item I mean folder and file names), this is because agb1 can't check for every instance .. or at least I don't thing, as there's ~1*10^450 or so possible variants. :whistling:

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
