Is someone working to make sos compatible with EET? On beamdog forum it is listed as bg2ee compatible so it should not be a Big work

Besides i am plaiyng eet with sandrah mod, all scs and insane difficulty, i Just finished naskel mines. Mod contents are Good in My opinion but game is too Easy which mod can i install (maybe not included in bws) to make it harder?

Thank you

SCS already IS compatible with EET. If you use BWS to install it, it will automatically use the correct version and patch.

I have these mods that won't download automatically and I think it's because the zip files have exactly the same name as each other:

Tales of Anegh (pre-release): The Mod itself (master.zip)
          https://github.com/R...hive/master.zip
   Vault: The Mod itself (master.zip)
          https://github.com/R...hive/master.zip
   Xulaye: The Mod itself (master.zip)
          https://github.com/R...hive/master.zip
SoD Banter Restoration: The Mod itself (master.zip)
          https://github.com/R...hive/master.zip

i'll have to download them manually and then rename them (and then possibly even have to extract manually as well)

Edit:

Interestingly when i download them manually they actually have unique names so i'm gussing the BWS is trying to grab the wrong name, The files are named this:

ToA-master.zip

VaultEE-master.zip

XulayeEet-master.zip

SoDBanterEET-master.zip

Edit 2:  Even trying to use provide and selecting these files it won't accept them...

Edit 3:  I tried again and removed Xulaleye and Areth from my list of mods and it got past the download stage and extraction without problems.

I am not sure what your problem was but all github downloads from the master branch appear in the links with master.zip When you download them, you get yyy-master.zip and BWS extracts and handles them like any other download.

The problem is neither with the names nor with the links.

They are all EET mods, so they will not work if you try another game, except for ToA.

It all worked fine the second time round so I'll shrug my shoulders on that one :)

weigo is working on it. There is a version 1.14 with EE(T) compatibility but it's not tested yet. I'll post a link later.

SCS and all the tactical mods aim to do precisely that. You can also apply tons of tweaks in BWS which reduce gold and experience rewards.

There is a recent discussion http://gibberlings3....topic=29275&hl=

While the topic actually was aiming at a more balanced EET, you can just as well turn all those screws to their limit and make the game harder.

I imagine balancing is tricky because people have different levels of expertise with the game. Some people want more of a challenge than others.

If you do eventually revise and create a "recommended" mod list for the defaults in BWS, you can come up with tweaks/balance changes based on that level of content. If someone else throws in even more mods with more content producing more experience points, it alters the balance of the game significantly. And the game is only partially linear. The fact that a lot of the content can be done out of order makes it hard to target the challenge level of what level you expect the player to be.
Nihilism makes me smile.

Having problems with WeiDuFileChagelog extracting on an EET install. It constantly fails, tried downloading a new one when offered the prompt, tried extracting myself but no luck......After I extract it says it failed and exits the install.

Maybe this helps

Open BWS\BiG World Setup\Config\Global file weidu-filechangelog.ini with a text editor

In this line

Type=R,S,T,E,F remove the ,F at the end.

Hi, I've been away from SHS for a while, and BWS seems to have been moved on to EE? And I only own GOG versions of non-EE. Should I buy the new EE and try again?

Many mods still work for the classic non-EE game, so you can always install mods to those games or even BGT.

Nobody around here has any commercial interest or will encourage you to spend money for bean dog's products. It may just be a little more cumbersome to mod the old game but there is no need to upgrade unless you are specifically interested in mods or other advantages that the EEs provide.
