I just got BGII-E, and saw the BWS supports it, so I figured I'd give it a spin.  BWS20140707 bombed as soon as I pressed the ellipes button next to Compilation section to select individual mods.

Search for STD;randomiser;10210;17;0111; and replace it with STD;randomiser;10210;09;0111; in Config\BG2EE\select.txt to fix the crash.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

Quick catch  :shifty: Corrected.

@ALIEN: Can you add one line in the BWS main file, line 230:
ConsoleWrite('!Missing Name-definition in Mod.ini' & @CRLF)
$Setups[0][0] = 0
$Array=StringSplit(StringStripCR($File), @LF)
It's only used if you missed a mod-definition in the mod.ini, so I guess it's never used, but well, stumbled across it since it will result in an error.

It looks like something isn't quite configured right for the almateria restoration project 6.4 download.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Back again. To report more problems. Just grabbed the master zip because i didn't have the patience to wait for a release.

Attempting to install works fine up to the actual install, downloads and extraction are okay but very shortly after installation starts this happens.

There are empty lines in the select.txt and the BWS does not like them.
Either remove them or wait a few hour so it will work with those.

For a moment i got it in my head I could just see if i could rewrite it to just accept empty lines. Seemed like the sort of thing that shouldn't break anything.

I looked at the code. Oh god.

Respect for working with that, it looks like a massive pain.

Well, computers are dump and so may be my scripting.
And I kind of know the logic that I wanted to have and I did not think a lot about empty lines, so you share that pain. If you want to, I can add them when the wheather cools down here.

Just to ask: Code as in au3 code? Where? ;)

@Alien:
Suggest to modify lines that read from select.txt:

OLD: $Array = StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF)
NEW: $Array = StringSplit(StringRegExpReplace(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), '\x0a((|\s{1,})\x0a){1,}', @LF), @LF)

This will replace linefeeds followed by a repetitive group of either nothing or several spaces/tabs)and linefeeds with a single linefeed.
In short: Will remove empty or lines containing only spaces/tabs from the array.

My hits are these:

BiG World Setup.au3:124: $Array = StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF)
BiG World Setup.au3:185: Local $Array=StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF)
Includes\09_Install.au3:269: $Array = StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF)
Includes\16_Select-Tree.au3:863: $Array=StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF); go through select.txt
Includes\16_Select-Tree.au3:901: $Array=StringSplit(StringStripCR(FileRead($g_GConfDir&'\Select.txt')), @LF)
