I'm playing my frist playtrough in BG1 with the BG Trilogy, and several kit mods, and the Welverin sub race mod. Altrough I did not make a mega mod instalation, I used the install procedures listed in the ShadowTek guide, MegaMod Instalation for Newbies, and used the Big World Setup batch file, mainly for the other benefits;
The kits, and the Welverin sub race mod was installed after the original instalation of Big World Setup; I installed only the BG fixpack, and Tobex, as was advised in the guide; I installed after, the Pack Mule and the Psion mod, great mods so far, avaliable in this great forum - nothing more;

Well, I'm on my first time in Nashkel, in the single player campaing, and I have found an item in the Fahl farm, a Mirror in a container. It looks like a crate, and when I click with the right mouse button, it says "Frendly Arm Inn" and nothing more;

My question is: What the purpose of the item? Should I dispose it, keep it, what it's function in game?

Googling it, I found few answers, one of them in the Oficial BG EE forum, where they say this item should capture a Photo of you, and display it in game, in the descrpition of the item, if you have a Webcam installed; Well, I have not a Webcam installed and my photo didn't show up; In the topic, some say that the item caused a CTD, and them, somebody give a "Code" to remove the item from the game, to prevent this;

The Link to the tread foilow...

But, how should I use that code? I'm not getting CTD, anyway... I only curious about the item. I can preferably sell it in the shop, for it's useless;

It's true, what they say? In a long forgotten and old game, where webcams where not so common, it this it's function?
Note: I'm not playing the BG EE Edition, it's the old game, the cd version, also, not the GOG version...

I shall bother with another question:

When Googling it for the answers, I fonund that the mod "Unfinished Buisness", that I thought, was a quest mod, instead is a Fix Mod that solves a great aspect of the vanilla game;
I'm still on chapter 2... should I install it? It will work, with the few mods I have installed? Should I begin a New Game, to see the changes? (Like Elminster showing up again in the Frendly Arm Inn map?)

Thanks in advance for the patience to read my long post;

I recall it being useless. I feel like I've seen discussion on this subject a few times before...And I personally would not recommend installing content mods in general, (e.g. Unfinished Business), midway through a game, (though it depends, I'm sure, on the particular mod in question). High chance of breaking something for that particular game, (though I'm sure somebody else could give a more qualified answer as to what might actually happen), so yes, if you did, I'd probably recommend starting a new game. Also, from what I know of Unfinished Business, it doesn't do anything in regards to that mirror.

The mirror has no purpose in the unmodded game. It does have one if you have Aurora's Shoes installed, which might well be the case if you have an actual mirror that doesn't crash the game.

The webcam thing was a joke. Possibly even a cunning one.

Thanks for the advice...

I installed the BG1 Unfineshed Business, and loaded a game before completing the Khagain Quest, where I should bring him to the map north of Beregost, where he tire of searching for the lost caravan...

I read the readme of the mod, and so far, this was the only change, so I continued from that save, and the Khagain Quest is still on my journal...

In Nashkel again, I not picked the "mirror" item in the container... hehehehe....

So Another Question... should I install Baldurash?

No. Baldurdash is no longer needed.
