Is this a candidate for fixpack?

Where do I get the most current BWP Fixpack? Is it v15.3?

Wait - going back to Agb1's work to change line endings... don't Weidu mods need line endings to be in CRLF format? I know when I patch stuff like .2da tables, even running Weidu in OS X, they get screwed up if they use LF line endings.

So, unless testing proves the OS X patching works fine, I would run a script again after BWF patches are applied, to convert line endings back to CRLF.

Gavin BG1 updates to v10.

All fixes from BWP Fixpack are integrated.

What about current BWP version (v16 on current moment) and latest BWP fixpack compatibility? For example, in current fixpack fixes for Spell revisions 4 beta 14 are presented, but BWP v16 recommends version 4 beta 12, so I can't just replace official version of fixpack with latest Github version (update to version 4 beta 14 not a variant). Can I install fixes only for modifications of my own choice? Can i just copy latest version of fixes for Region of terror, for example, and copy it to my current (official) fixpack directory? How it works?

@Kiwi042

Well, I can tell you that I tested that in several test installs... although the last one dates back when agb1 was still active (I was giving him a hand to keep compatibility for BWP) and it seems to work fine enough (meaning: I had to alter some patches but nothing more).

No idea with current Github Fixpack.

Tried to install newest BWP fixpack from Github with my BWP v16 compilation. Something I had to change: updated The tweaks anthology from beta 4 to beta 5; updated Almateria's Restoration Project from v8.2.6 to 8.2.7; updated Rogue rebalancing from v4.80 to 4.90b1. I left old version of SR (version 4 beta 12), so fixes for Spell revisions 4 beta 14 didn't applied. Then installation had began. In result I got 2 new errors durning installation: in Animal companion and Stratagems modifications. Durning beginning of new game or loading save i got error: ASSERTION FAILED! Return Address: 0x84BDE1 File: ObjAnimation.cpp Line: 20502 Expression: itemFlags&ITEM_FLAGS_TWOHANDED && resref != "" Message: (null). What i had done wrong?

My game version is BG2 GOG.

@Kiwi042

Being honest, not sure. As I was saying, I performed several test installs and the game never crashed with those errors.

However take care that I do not install SCS because I use BP but I can tell you I remember I had one error for a component during SCS install (for testing purposes)... if I correctly remember, it was due to installing both BP and SCS (SCS did not install some components due to BP breaking a component install at a later time).

Animal Companions: no idea, really.

EDIT: taking a look at BiG World Debug, there appears to be a Parse Error in Animal Companions:

Extending game scripts ...

[AnimalCompanions/files3/UBRPETS0.baf] PARSE ERROR at line 7 column 1-32
Near Text: )
    Type mismatch in "RES" argument of [ApplySpellRES].
    Expecting type "string". Recovering.

New installation without Animal companions, Stratagems, Spell revisions and "big" mods this time. Same error: ASSERTION FAILED! Return Address: 0x84BDE1 File: ObjAnimation.cpp Line: 20502 Expression: itemFlags&ITEM_FLAGS_TWOHANDED && resref != "" Message: (null)!

For Gavin BG2, all fixes are included for v21 and up. Please remove the fixes included for Gavin BG2 (as well as BG1), including the hotfix.

@Kiwi042

The error should be related to an equipped item.

I do remember a similar error I read on G3 Gibberlings: http://gibberlings3....229#entry185336

and one on Spellhold Too (started by Dragonian): http://www.shsforums...p-installation/

After long tests i discovered, that component 102 of Scales of balance 5.6.2 leads to error ASSERTION FAILED! Return Address: 0x84BDE1 File: ObjAnimation.cpp Line: 20502 Expression: itemFlags&ITEM_FLAGS_TWOHANDED && resref != "" Message: (null) and CTD.

Did anyone else installed Scales of balance with BWP and latest fixpack? Did it leads to CTD for you? Confirmation needed.

@Kiwi042

I am unable to confirm it, sorry. Never installed Scales of Balance.

EDIT: maybe latest version (5.6.4 on GitHub) solves the issue

As of v12, Alternatives is compatible with EET. Please remove the Patch for Alternatives from the Fixpack.

By now BWfixpack apparently geared to address older versions of the following mods

Spoiler

If there's someone left capable of understanding BWFixpack workings, hopefully this will be of help.

The Old Gold - v0.2 WIP (mod for BGT/BWP/BWS)

Creepin: I can answer for the mods I am maintaining.

WARNING: File "ajantisbg2/setup-ajantisbg2.tp2" contains 'VERSION ~14~' instead of expected 'VERSION ~13~'!  --> this one is still necessary for granting EET compatibility

WARNING: File "alternatives/setup-alternatives.tp2" contains 'VERSION ~v12~' instead of expected 'VERSION ~v11~'!  --> deprecated

WARNING: File "RE/Setup-RE.tp2" contains 'VERSION ~v12~' instead of expected 'VERSION ~v11~'! --> deprecated

BGFixpack adds line
!%BGT_VAR% // block spawning in BG1 part of BGT and EET
to file RevisedBattles/knights/baf/b#knitsp.baf of Revised Battles mod. Obviously this line can't be compiled as is so my not so educated guess is that it was supposed to be converted to something more comiplable but failed. Removing this line got this component of Revised Battles install fine.

The Old Gold - v0.2 WIP (mod for BGT/BWP/BWS)

Is there a reason why the fixpack currently copies some worldmap items into the mod Reunion? Is it for EET compatibility? Because the EET code in the tp2 fails to patch anyhow and if so I think they can be removed. Unless they are for something else.

Never mind I think I have found out that it is only EET related. Just posting for information.
