1pp setup don't recognizing my exe

Hi, i must say that i was looking for something like your mod from quite sometime, so i immediately downloaded when i found it. Alas, it doesn't work. I've put everything inside the icewind dale folder, then i started the setup, but when i run it and i say install everything it gives me error and say "Executable appears not to be compatible".. I'm not sure of course, but maybe it's becouse i have installed the new version of the "D&D Anthology Collection"?

Ok, i've seen now the thread where this problem has happened to Others as well.. But the links with the other exe don't work.. Damit

Erhm, here's a link for the English v2.5.26498 patched game .exe from a vanilla 4+1 CD game... I hope it helps.

PS, make a backup of the original file !

with that exe it seems to work for installing the fix to the broken combat stances, but when i say yes to install the legacy animations it still gives me error due to the incompatible exe :(

er... is that IWD or BG2? the exe is from bg2...

My thoughts exactly.. Still when i dropped that exe on the iwd folder the first step worked! It didn't work before niether the first step (the combat stance fix). But then, when i said "ok, now replace the animations" no, error. I don't understand anything about.

it probably got quite confused about which game it was, so it was pleased to see a perfectly valid BG2 executable but then could not find (obviously) any other BG2 resource...

 

could you post your weidu.log? Also, are you sure you applied the latest official patch (and no unofficial patch, non-weidu mod and similar) to the game? Otherwise, try re-installing the game without anything else (but the official patch), and see if it works.

PS, the latest official patch for the Heart of Winter is the Trials of the Luremaster v1.42 -patch. Yeah, sorry for the above mistake...

The "Atari D&D Anthology Collection" has the latest possible version of every game it contains. So i didn't patch anything, since it's already the latest possible patch. The Anthology contains: Baldur's Gate with Tales from the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate II with Throne of Bhaal already inside, Icewind Dale with Hearth of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster, Icewind Dale II, Planescape: Torment and Temple of Elemental Evil with the latest patch created from Atari. That said every game can't be patched more, and probably i think, it's possible that since the install setup it's different from the original ones, i don't know maybe the mod doesn't recognize something..? Boh.

Well boys, this NEEDS to be said: I was angry since i didn't understand why the mod didn't work, so i begun to click "I" (Install the original animations yes <I> skip <s> exit <q>) and at the fourth time I DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHY it worked. But now iunderstand that i will never understand how the pc works.

The scene was almost like "whyyy u fucking mod don't want to work??? ---> i,i,i,i,i ---> error,error,error,coping files........" Me O_O??

Make sure you turn off your anti-virus...this includes downloading the files.  It will screw up a lot if kept on.

I have the same problem and no amount of pressing "i" will make it work for me.

AV is off.

 

Any ideas? I use the gog-version

 

€: And it only happens for the combat stance fixes. The other two I can install fine
