Hi aVENGER, thanks for all the work you've done on this great mod! I have one question: are the Bhaalpowers you get at the beginning of, say, a new BG2 game supposed to be somewhat random? As Chaotic Good, I sometimes get all "good" powers or a mix of them and "bad" powers. As I understand the specific readme section (http://readme.spellh...sed_Bhaalpowers), this should be more consistent?

Actually it is consistent, you just have to know that the alignment you pick might not be what you though, as in, the Chaotic Good is not nearly as far away from all good as you think. The powers you get is dictated by the table called abstart.2da .

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hmm, doesn't this table indicate that there are various possible sets of abilities for each alignment? SPN101, SPN102, and SPN103 for chaotic good? That would make sense considering I've definitely gotten different results a few times.

From the way the aTweaks readme is worded, I thought you'd get a bunch more: "The following Bhaalpowers are awarded to characters who have a reputation above 9 after certain Chapters in BG1 and characters to whose alignment isn't Chaotic Evil at the start of BG2" plus "The following Bhaalpowers are awarded to characters who have a reputation below 10 after certain Chapters in BG1 and to characters whose alignment isn't Lawful Good at the start of BG2." As Chaotic Good is neither Chaotic Evil nor Lawful Good, it follows from these two descriptions that you'd get all of the "good" powers and all of the "bad" powers.

EDIT: Well, the wording means that it actually depends on whether you play the game only on BG2, or do you play the game in BG1 with the BGT or Tutu addons, as then (with the addons) you actually get the consequences from your alignmentreputation and not the table above. And no, you only get 6 powers.

As said in the table, it's a legacy info, the table is not actually used in the BG2 game either, as the whole power tie in is actually coded to the BGMain.exe, with probability's tie to the alignment. So getting a random result is possible, but the table shows your most likely result.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation! :D
