hello,

i am playing the main riativin quest and having killed the banshee my world map is now inaccessible -  i cannot leave from either area dd8001 (the haunted forest) or dd8001c (the shadow bit of the haunted forest) i get the message "destination unreachable". i cannot get the clua console to work either so i cannot cheat to move to another map area.

my install is as below and everything has worked fine up until this point. i am now in chapter 6 and have yet to kill bodhi but have done everything else apart from the main riatvin quest (i have done the mage section and also the orgoth tower section from riativn).

soa

baldur gate tob

patch – BGII Throne Bhaal 26498

BG2 fixpack from gibberlings 3 v.10

The darkest day v. 1.14

from Ease of use v.33

Xp cap remover

Unlimited stackings

Bag of holding

dungeonbegone

Item upgrade mod v.40

improved consistency mods

from tactics v.25

improved torgal

improved shaugin

improved bhodi

improved irenicus

acid kensai

red badge encounter

mae-var

toughest random spawns

random city encounters

random wilderness

improved undead

improved golems

smarter dragons

tougher druid grove

tougher demons

world map = BP-BGT.worldmap v.9.02

Is there a way I can get off this map back to the temple district to finish this quest? I do have an earlier save game to use but it would mean having to replay the riativin quests which I dont want to do.

thank you in advance :D

Consoling to the gate district( ar0020 ) should allow you to reach all locations in game, when you exit from both directions. That of course won't fix the bug, but steps it aside so to speak.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

hello, thank you

i cannot get this to work and i have tried many, many times. is there another way to bring the console up rather than using ctrl spacebar (since whenever i hit these keys all it does is unpause/pause the game).

Well, no... there's a reason for why it has not worked... and to figure that out:

Is there a "Debug Mode=1" line, without the quotes in your baldur.ini file in your game folder ? Open the file with Notepad and copy paste *the text to a post*.
And you have installed the game outside the operation systems protected folders, correct ? The above *info* tells me if you have
And you did push both of the buttons at the same time, first Ctrl, and while holding that, push then the SPACE too. :D

When you get the console to show up, you just need this code while all your characters are selected:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("ar0020")

hello, yes i have done all of the above - the game is on a different computer, so i'll copy the file shortly - the problem may be that i am using a macbook to play the game on (i have used bootcamp to partition the mac's harddrive and have a windows set up (vista) on there - the mac's keyboard is very slightly different so i wonder if that's what's causing the problem?) also, i can't play baldurs on this computer i am using now - there is problem with my graphics card and the graphics get nerfed :D

i do have shadowkeeper so can i edit anything through that to move me to the desired area?

thank you!

Of course the movie and StringX lines are there because I cheated and played the game a lots... but the others in your file, show that the game doesn't actually use that file at all, but the one in the profile folder. Some where close to: C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\ -folder.

hello, yes i have just figured it out on reading further that my baldur ini is hidden in a virtual drive so the one that i was altering was redundant :D i use vista and have just read this thread http://www.shsforums...r-the-megamods/ and http://www.shsforums...81-cluaconsole/ - unfortunately, i have save baldurs in the programme files - hehe

anyway, you're the best as i have just consoled myself back to the town gates :D

Off-hand I'd say this is a TDD bug.
