I'm trying to install the latest version, but I am getting this error:

The probable reason why all the above happens is that your install folder is operation system protected, and that's no good to install mods to... install the game to a normal folder and it should fix the issue, and you actually get to enjoy moded content. ... and of course what Wisp is saying must be taken into account... but only so and so as the OSP's protection can make the file appear as being spiritually there but still not there, leading to errors etc.

Some mod or other is probably providing a broken or incomplete version of an Ascension-specific file (balth2.dlg). Edwin Romance thinks Ascension is installed and fails when the file does not conform to expectations.

Hm. Okay.  I was trying to install it into my new BG2:EE game, and none of the other mods gave me any problems.  I've never played with ,Ascension so I'm kinda confused.  I'll try to troubleshoot more though.  Thanks for the input!

 

 

UPDATE:  Thanks to Wisp I was able to pin down the issue --- I guess Wheels of Prophecy had done something to balth2.dlg that the Edwin mod didn't like.  So I un-installed WP and installed Edwin, then re-installed WP.  Voila!
