Conversation with Tanaari

I have a problem with the Tanaari after I retrieved the key from the cave with the traps of the living. 

 

The conversation doenst work like it is supposed to: I can give the Tanaari the key but dont get anything in return. The conversation breaks after my char asks about four Tanaari. I loose the key but dont get anything in return nor does the journal update or anything. In addition I had two Tanaari right from the start.

 

I have the latest version of the mod installed with big world setup.

 

My actions so far:

 

- swallowed the ghoul potion, passed the trap, got the key, swallowed the antidote

 

- talked to the Tanaari the normal way, nothing happened: got no item, they dont disappear

 

- tried the options from this topic: http://www.shsforums...remarks-on-v24/

   ---> SetGlobal("dai_TalkedToTanaari","GLOBAL",3)

   ---> YSGHOUL1.ITM added this item via the console

   ---> still the same result

 

- checked via shadowkeeper, like suggested in the topic above, the variables are set like they are supposed to

 

 

I attached my weidu log. But I am not allowed to upload my baldur.sav for some reason...

 

I hope this can be fixed or I am just mistaken and everything works fine. Would love to keep on playing this mod...

I suspect this may be a BWP problem as it's never been reported before, but before I say for definate, can you please post a screenshot of where the conversation fails.

They did help - I can read enough German to match it with the original English. If I am right, your Edwin has read the Nether Scroll and is now Edwina? The dialog has an Edwin interjection at the point that you say it breaks and I wonder if this has anything to do with it? I am going to assume that we have two problems here, so:

 

1. Which version of FFT are you running? The Tanarr'i bug was fixed in v2.7 and the current release version is v2.8.

2. Can you try dropping Edwin from the party and running the conversation again.

I am running the 2.8 version. I did tons of other quests now and came back to the situation. Meanwhile Edwin did change back and after getting the key, the Tanarr'i revealed the whole conversation. My map updated and I am moving on with the story now,,,

I don't know if this helps you but it seems that Edwin must be near by for all the conversations to work properly. I just had the same problem with the 4th red mage in cerendors hold. The conversation broke and so I moved Edwin closer and it worked properly.

I've been right through the dialog with the Tanarr'i again. There's two places where Edwin has an interjection and both play out correctly, with or without Edwin. The same applies to the dialog in Cerendor Hold, so I'm completely at a loss as to what is happening on your installation. I've also checked both v3.0 dialogs; they are identical with the v2.8 dialogs so running an update most likely won't fix the problem.

 

Can you give me a savegame that has only a canon party in it?

Please note that the spelling is Tanar'ri ;)
