I've been pulling my hair out for the last 3 hours, tried everything. re-installed, patched, patched again. Each thing I did allowed the bgt installer to make more progress then the previous time, but I'm stuck and can't get it to go any further. I now can't get past this error message: error: unix.unix_error <20, "rename", "bg1cre/bishop.cre"> something like that.

Seems to me like you don't have either the BG1 add on, or an full install of it in the BG1 directory. Reinstall the BG1 game so it has all the components, and try again.

Hmm wierd, I actually did do a full install of bg & totsc, but I redid the entire process and it worked. Thanks for the help.
