This is what I have, and I'm going to use BGT/BWP:

Ascension (I heard this was a special case)

Almateria's Restoration Project

BG1 and BG2 Unfinished Business

BG2-fixpack (I understand this is important)

BG1 mini-quests and encounters

Banter Pack V14

BG1 npc project, and music

Dark Horizons (BWP failed to install this for some reason)

Drizzt Saga

Fading Promises

Freedom's Reign, and Virtue

I Shall Never Forget

IEP Banters

Inner Shade

Jarl's BGT Tweak Pack

Lure of the Sirine's Call

BGT NPC Portraits

Shards of Ice

Slandor

tales of the deep gardens

The Sellswords

The White Queen

Turnabout (Is this one a special case too?)

Wheels of Prophecy

Zalnoya and the Shadow Thieves

ToBEX extender

I've subtracted out Darkside and Northern tales because they also failed to install in BWP, and so I've decided to leave those out, but I would like to somehow keep Dark Horizons if there is a way to make it work. I'm assuming at this point I won't actually need the BP_Balancer since I'm not play those mods in the end.

Anyway, let's assume I'm going to use BWP again, but is there any special cases I must do first before I run the program again? Also while I'm at it, does it make a difference if I pick either Standard or Recommended? What happens if I picked Standard? Does Standard deviate from the BWP guide, and assumes you want every component installed?

Well that's a yes and no.

First of all the BWS is more up to date than the BWP guide, just cause of the release date.

The second is that the either the Standard or the Recommended compilations limit their mod selections to a portion of the whole of the "Expert" BWP version -compilation. And you want to make sure to push the "..." beside the Compilation button to actually fully customize your install setup.

If you start the BWS(via the .vbs), what you probably should first of all do is go back to the very first page(the language selection page) of the selector and make sure you select the "BWS: BiG World Project (detailed customization)" on the way forward(on the second page),  so that it is not the "BiG World Install.bat (fixed and well-tried)". This is done by going back the pages with the "Back" buttons.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I also need help with installation of mods. Because I just recently bought copies of original Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 from GoG. What confuses me is the mod installations, the "in-order" cause man I don't have any ideas.

@Falagar Is this heavy modding? How about adding Stratagems?

Is this heavy modding?

Well, if we look at the facts, there's ~20 mods, one being the BGT, others being BG1 mods made specifically to work with BGT in the BG2 engine... it is already there. The add the BWS's fixes and. YES.. obviously.

I also need help with installation of mods. Because I just recently bought copies of original Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 from GoG. What confuses me is the mod installations, the "in-order" cause man I don't have any ideas.

Then just download the BWS, the bws_20140619.exe should be the most up to date, and then just run it, extract it to a folder you intent to keep, if memory serves it runs the .vbs file, and then you just follow the instructions given around the interface.
